I've seen every episode a hundred times, and watch it every time it comes on tvone. And Sanford and son. When James hugs his dad it brings tears to my eyes every time. 2 great actors.

@@harmony3279 Norman Lear didn't write for the show, but he did produce it. This one of a kind series was based on the ups and downs of a family living in the projects. They were going to move, but James died in a car accident. They left the projects in the last episode of the show. This was a fictional story, but unfortunately some folks have it worse in real life.

I like good times but it was a cheap show. Hardly had any sets,you never saw the kids at their school or willona at her job. These unrealistic episodes that were far out. Like did James really have to have dropped out of school in the 6th grade??
They made him like ignorant, I didn't like that. The writing was lazy. But it was funny because of JJ and the one shot jokes. Lol..
