I've been following Quay every since the Walmart video and I've been playing guitar since I was six years old and now I'm 64 and he's got more Talent in his little finger then I do altogether but I have one thing in life that I've learned is that I should have played one style of music and kept with it it's perfectly fine to learn all types of music from country blues rock classical and so on but you can not serve two masters he's so good with the Blues in the Jimi hendrix-style rock and roll that I believe if he sticks with that one thing like Stevie Ray Vaughan did that he's really going to go far he has a beautiful voice in a very unique playing style of his own and I pray that one day he starts headlining shows because I believe in him with all my heart. He definitely needs a break he is definitely paid his dues. Your friend always Johnny

awesome dude like your style and personality in your playing I did a rendition of little wing the other day at a pawn shop on a Yamaha pacifica they marked down to $41.00 I saw the girl/clerk talking to the manager as they were watching me play and after I got done I said I love it I'll take it and they both looked at me and said yes you will because we want you to have the guitar we are giving it to you for free that was awesome playing, I smiled and said thnx and they also gave me a new set of ernie ball strings as well it was a great experience. music is power.
yeah i used to try to emulate them as closely as i could until i realized that there is no originality or reason for anyone to listen it because the master has already done it. Im just trying to make a mark. haha
