3:39 - 3:47 that's what barbershop is to me. I haven't brought to tears by just the look on peoples faces and expressions yet in barbershop. That was definitely a first. Seeing the pure enjoyment of singing with 20 different people in the one frame brought me so much joy. You can really tell that they would have those same expressions even if they didn't have a crowd. That is absolute passion dude. (Edit: especially john, the baritone from crush, The face on the far left in the second shot)
Just wow. My emotions rose and fell dramatically throughout this amazingly performed piece. And my favorite moment at the very end was the calming serenity and peace I was left with, believing that dreams really can come true. You guys should be aware that you're touching hearts around the world. Thank you so much.
Their dynamics are emphatically precise. It is impossible to not be moved, emotionally, constantly throughout their performance. Sad that Walt never heard this arrangement.
I saw this live and it was spectacular. This won them the contest in my eyes. Oh and Seize the day was pretty good too. Especially that high F# from the bases. lol
This is what barbershop sounds and looks and FEELS like practiced and polished and perfected, down to the number of guys kneeling at the end. Just DANG. Wow. Man oh mighty, that is good barbershop. I can't wait to see what they perform in Orlando.
The bases make that last chord rock! Anyone can make loud chords ring...it takes special vocal accomplishment to make soft chords sound like that. These kinds of chords are becoming a trademark of Westminster!
So, throw a couple of handfuls of 60+ year old fellows in there (like most choruses have) and see how it all changes. Anyone else find it odd the median age of this group? Outside of that it sounded fantastic! Great job as always, gents!
Such sweet harmonies from such a manly crowd, proof that the inner child is soul seed to an everlasting hope for the Children of the Creator.

That may have just been the gentlest I have ever heard anyone end a song
Yay for the tenors 3:44-4:09. What an amazing blend. Still awed from these guys since the first time I heard them 6 years ago.
Just wow.

couldn't have said it better. this music is truly archaic somewhere in our souls
I see NF4! By the way, I just love the passion in these guys!!
I was about to say, every time I see one of their videos, I just end up looking for shots with any of the NF4.
Wow, that was lovely.
I listen to this atleast once a month because it brings be to a happy place. What a beautiful piece.

Meu sonho é poder fazer um terço do que essas pessoas fizeram, tanto como regente quanto como coralista ❤
Wow ❤

Wonderfully done. I realize I comment on basses every time I comment on a BHS video, but my goodness they're great.

Passion!
Another wonderful performance by the Westminster Chorus! I have watched this twice and I sure don't see any lipsync issues!

Westminster has a sound like no other

It's not odd; it's a group explicitly for younger singers.
anyone know who wrote this arrangement? it's absolutely divine - and sung so brilliantly!
David Wright
thanks! :) - ngl kind of expected as much!!
That's the guy from Pentatonix right? at 0:42
Avi? Don't think so
No that is not him.
Not him, although he did sing with this group at one point.
No but its the guy from paranormal activity 1
For real? (I haven't seen that movie in years)
There seems to be a lipsync problem with this video. BHS folks, can you please fix it?
+Carl Youngblood Not seeing a synch issue, Carl. Any specifics you can share?
Can you please tell me who arranged this piece?
David Wright
If I had their lead section I'd make them tenors for my chorus.
