IMO the Behringer sounds richer, more organic. The Roland isn't bad though, and fits on a small desk!

I'm going to experiment with the vocoder on the VP-03 by putting a Graphic Equalizer in line with the mic input so you don't get out of control feedback (the residents of the volcano can add to issue). This is especially a challenge with a second party singing or playing an instrument (like a Saxophone or a Flute) into the mic.

Great vid thanks. I have the VP-03, it’s pretty good. Behringer good too. Nice song at the end, love it 👏🏻👏🏻

Can the Sequencer Patterns be changed via Midi (Program change)?

Love your rhythm and Melody at 18:13 very Giorgio Moroder like, simple but very addictive too listen to! Keep sharing them...please!

Interesting … I was all but set on the 340 for the string sounds … I thought the vocoder was better than this/the VP-02, too, though - but maybe not …
I already have a pretty good vocoder (Digitech Talker). Not sure what to do for 330-like strings, now … a good, alternate vocoder made it a slightly sweeter deal …

Nice. The title needs to be corrected: VC340, not VP340

Oh yes, thanks for mentioning it. I'll correct that right away.

Would have loved to hear low octave dub techno chords
Can you run audio through it ?

as a carrier no. as a modulator whatever you manage to feed into that mic in I guess.

I believe the Behringer VC-340 like the original Roland VP-330 is an analog unit while the Roland VP-03 is a digital facsimile.
In a Miniature Rack setup I have (that augments a Hammond B-3 Clone through a smaller modern Leslie).
The rack also has a Yamaha Reface CP (for Electric Piano sounds), a Yamaha QY-70 (for General MIDI sounds), a Behringer Model D (analog Minimoog clone. Try The above mentioned VP-03 and a father dated Emu Piano Module which is somewhat dated, but what I like about it is all the controls including the MIDI channel and Transportation/Octave selectors are knobs on the front.
This allows the Piano to be added to either Keyboard or Bass Pedals. With another Piano patch (either the hard-to-get Reface CP acoustic piano sound or the more dated QY-70 can be used to "Thicken" the other Unison Piano or play Octave or Double-Octave Piano parts (like you sometimes hear in Salsa) with one hand.
With the VP-03, I can get the "Piano/Delayed String "Pad" voice and/or strings to the Lower Manual Organ Voice.
One annoying thing is some of the Lower Manual Organ Drawbar assigns interfere with the VP-03 Volume Level adjusters, I've not been able to find a way to disable the MIDI Control Change data for the VP-03.

This is really well done. Can you export out your Deluge projects ? I would love to riff on this, if you put together a patreon channel - and offer up your stems/ Deluge projects - I would definitely subscribe :) I have the VP-03 as well - such a great, under the radar Roland Boutique module :)

Thanks! I am very glad you liked this! I would be happy to share this. But I don't know if there's a reliable way to export a deluge song with all the samples in the right place. It's not my area of expertise though. I'll have to read up on that. Do you know how to do this? I could easily provide stems if that's good enough for you?
