As someone who lived in Charlotte and has season passes every year, when they announced it opening I was nervous to ride it since I knew my dad would make me go on it with him. First time I rode it was my 15th birthday and I was told I had to ride in the front. Since the park was about to close we rode it three times in a row. It was amazing.
Thank you for the comment. And thanks to your dad for getting you to push past your fear. Sometimes you need the extra encouragement from your dad, husband, friend, or whoever. My daughter is not tall enough yet to ride the Fury, but getting her on the Hurler was a task. (Now she loves coasters and talks Beth onto them sometimes.) Seat position on some coasters makes no difference at all. Seat position on some coasters makes a huge difference. I think all seats on the Fury are great seats. That being said, the front row on the Fury makes it feel like you are flying. The track looks like it is falling out from under you on the first hill. My sister and I were lucky enough to ride it on the front row on our first ride.
The best way to overcome fear of Coasters is to ride one that is small then work your way through the bigger coasters. I had a fear of heights then I rode drop tower at kings island. After that first time riding there hasn't been any ride I would back down from. I'm just itching to ride top thrill dragster at Cedar Point haha
I thought she handled it well. I will post the video of her on the Intimidator. It will have to be bleeped or age restricted, due to Beth's choice of words. Thanks for the comment.
I have so many questions but I will narrow it down to four ..... 1. What made you choose Fury as your first coaster ever? 2. I don't need to know your exact age but I want to know if you are older or younger than 20? 3. Did you ride it more than once? 4. Did you ride any other coasters after Fury? Thank you for your comment. I am amazed.
I just rode it for the 1st time 😆 i loved it ❤️ we had to ride in the second row and i was scared to death😅 i didnt pass out but my vision was black. Her reaction was the same as mine 😂
I feel for her, it's a totally natural thing to fear the concept of falling, even though we know we'll be fine, there's always that annoying voice in the back of our heads saying "What if something goes wrong?" Even harder for people with a fear of heights to go on coasters like this. However, once you manage to ride one, you will either come off happy or disappointed that you did it, but at least you did it and conquered your fear
I love it as well. I bet you got different seats, front, back, middle. I think that they are all great on the Fury. I was lucky enough to ride the front on my first ride. The front does not make that much difference on some coasters, but it is something else on the Fury. I am glad you liked it . Thanks for the comment.
The train goes fast up the lift hill, but it is so long. Once, my Daughter and I were riding it and the train stopped right at the top of the lift hill for like ten seconds. I don't know why they stopped it but , right when everyone was starting to wonder what was going on, it started moving and went over the top. Thank you for your comment.
I am an enthusiast ok, and I know these people are Gp, but they still describe the rides like I would. Fury 325 and Intimidator are very smooth. Hurler, Vortex, mans Nighthawk are rough.
I feel the exact same way on a roller coaster especially the climb to the top. My problem mainly is when im in a drop I have to tighten my stomach up and it seems like others dont need to do that when seeing how the ride is like nothing to them lol.
I sometimes envy coaster riders that are nervous. I get excited on a coaster but you must have an adrenalin rush ten times bigger than mine. I can ride the Fury 325 immediately after riding it, but Beth has to take at leas an hour to wind down to be ready to ride it again. Thank you for your comment.
I went to Carowinds last week and waited in line for 45 minutes to ride this and talked myself out of it. I want to ride, but I’m nervous. It seems like after the first hill she was fine though.
You should so ride it. Read thru some of the other comments. Lots of people afraid at first, but then glad they did it. You can do it! Please let me know how it goes.
People are talking about what makes you vomit to me the corkscrew turns or barrel rolls is what always turns my stomach. The fury looks so smooth and fast
Beth refuses to ride anything that goes upside down. She liked the Fury 325. It is really smooth and 90+ mph! As I get older, I can't handle spinning like I used to. Thank you for your comment.
good job Beth!!!!! and just saying this ride fury is not 85 degrees its 81 lol. and also Beth dont worry your no falling out of the lap bar the manufacture (boillger and mabalard or b&m for short) made the lap bars really big and also really comfortable for a reason lol.
Good job, Beth. I'd be curious to know how she feels about it now and also if she's ridden enough hyper coasters that she doesn't find them scary anymore or if they still freak her out a bit.
She does still ride them, but mainly so our children have someone to ride with. Se is a bit concerned since the support column cracked a few weeks ago.
@@damienraes9665 It is a relatively new coaster so even though it is tall and fast it is incredibly smooth. As I grow older, if I have a choice between a rough or smooth coaster, I will pick the smooth option. Thank you for your question.
if get a chance to go to six flags over Georgia I recommend the goliath Coaster you some good ejector airtime as there only the lap bar and no seatbelt below the lap bar
Bro I’m scared of roller coasters sometimes. I only rode the carolina cyclone, the hurler, and the gold rusher. I about to get on the copperhead strike next time but I really wanna get on the fury 325 as well and I hate heights should I get on it?
You should so ride it! The Hurler and Carolina Cyclone are rough bumpy rides. The Fury 325 is so smooth and fast. That first hill is high, so you would get an extra rush of adrenalin on the first drop. When you build up the courage to ride it, please let me know what you think of the ride. Thanks.
I have found that, as long as you look forward, the wind in your face keeps them on. In fact the one time we went it was cloudy, so I didn't wear sunglasses. I didn't notice it in the other rows, but the front row I almost could not keep my eyes open from the velocity of going thru the air. Thank you for the comment.
Do not film with your phone on a roller coaster....It is dangerous. I used a GoPro with a wrist strap. That way there is zero chance of dropping it. Thank you for the question.
Carowinds does not allow phones or cameras that are "hand held" because someone could loose their grip. If you use a hand/wrist strap mount, it is not "hand held" and you can not drop it. Something like this: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1326360-REG/gopro_ahwbm_002_hand_wrist_strap.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwqvyFBhB7EiwAER786bMlGDLLokDoCD3AAgas5uMK7TmvhdbgvDJBXkMGeiEOnsWyzlLeuBoCzSQQAvD_BwE Thank you for the question.
@@mariosmindsetfan8133 I have found that these glasses stay on pretty well, as long as you don't look behind you, while going fast. This ride is so fast, if you ride it without glasses, it will make your eyes water. Thank you for the comment.
I rode this for the first time like 3 weeks ago and the only thing I said the whole ride was I fucking hate you to my friend who made me get on it LMAO
Oakley's. I have found that sunglasses that are designed to be used for sports like running or riding bicycles, tend to stay on better than sunglasses that aren't. That and the Fury 325 is a lot smoother roller coaster than some of the older coasters at Carowinds. That being said, Carowinds must have had problems with glasses coming off during rides, because the ride operators are now asking that you take off your glasses unless you have a retention strap on them. Thank you for your comment.
Yes and she is not a big coaster person. My sister and I were lucky enough to ride the front, for our first times on Fury. I think it is one of those rides that is good on any part of the train. Thank you for your comment.
I rode it and almost lost my chanclas 😂 it was scary asf but it was fun, I was on the edge (last seat where the guy is beside the kid) which made it scarier and I held on to the seat like my life depended on it 😂
At the time they didn't make you wear a glasses strap, but they do now. I have found that if you don't turn your head too far to the sides that the wind doesn't blow them off.

Chain lift hill. And it is fast going up. It still gives you time for the anticipation. Still the fifth tallest coaster in the world. Thank you for your comment.
They are pretty nasty. At the beginning of the season, they are clean and look almost new. I guess everybody's sweaty heads have been rubbing up against them. One time, we had to wait as the operators got out the disinfectant and water hose. We didn't see the guy puke, but the "buy your picture on the ride" had caught him in the throes of hurling. Thank you for the comment.
