Phil has more natural charisma than 90% of the people on TV!
Both hands on your shoulders 🤪😂🤪😂💪🏼
This video is totally hilarious Phil 🤣😂
Thanks for watching 😎
I've always wondered whether getting caught before the final rendezvous point means you failed selection. Would anyone be able to clarify?
Even if they don't get caught they still have to go through interrogation phase.
@@kevinadamson5768Aye but I was wondering whether you fail selection entirely if you get caught before reaching a certain checkpoint (be that the first or last checkpoint).
For example, if you got really unlucky and got caught on day 1, are they just going to boot you?
@@ForceRadioHQThanks!
@@thesaint8400 if you get caught on day one unlucky, more time in the stress positions and mental torture. They all have to do 48 hours interrogation with no sleep or food and stress positions doesn't matter how soon they get caught.
Everyone gets caught.
How does someone get picked to do OPFOR for selection? Is it shitjob or do they go around asking for volunteers? We never got asked and I don't know anyone who did
Wow, i was on that E&E as hunter force. Even the dogs were run ragged trying to catch you lot. Was in awe of the DS that were running it. Still remember asking a big Geordie DS how Melv was, he called him Mr Motivator, was funny as fcuk in his thick Geordie accent.
The Cheese sarnie brought back memories, finishing an E&A for NCOs cardre, as we approach the finish, we got on Landing craft, giving a mug of steamin hot tea and yeah you guessed a cheese sarnie, this was 76 time
Thanks for watching!
Just found this series on Forces Radio. Happy days. Phil talks about avoiding the Hereford pubs frequented by 'Blades'?? Did I hear him correctly? Anybody got any idea what that means?
I guessed Blades just meant fully badged SAS members. They wouldn't want a lot of muppets on Selection giving them a bad name. My Dad used to drink in a bar in Hereford used by the SAS and said they were easy to spot because of how fit they looked - although that was probably a hangout for officers ('ruperts') because it was part of a hotel and quite upmarket.
Love listening to this guy what a character.
Thank you for watching and taking time to leave a comment!
"Both hands on me shoulders!"...
Very funny 🤣
Thanks for watching! glad you enjoyed it.
Brilliant Phil!! Great delivery.
Thanks for listening
Quality episode. Love what you're doing! How close is SAS: Who Dares Wins interrogation to real SAS?
@@ForceRadioHQI wonder what Phil's honest feelings were/are on working with Americans? The Yanks are always respectful ( even though they believe& will say they are the best, that's just a National Pride thing)And the Brits will say the same!
Good stuff. Very accurate portrayal of selection mate.
well you’d hope so considering this is his actual recollection of selection, don’t you think?
You where sas as well then
Failed in the trees

Thanks for the support!
Why did you need to get internally searched?
😅everything is set to break you. Test you find the weak points
literally! 🙂@@ryanwisbey3387
Why did they have to get interrogated? Why did they have to sleep in a hedge in the pissing rain for 5 days? It justs tests your resolve and mental strength. Takes you well out of your comfort zone and into some place you really don't want to be.
Two reasons: first, it reduces the shock of something nasty happening for real if you've already done it as an exercise and secondly, you were encouraged to smuggle money/equipment onto the escape phase.
Encouraged? That's interesting. Goes to show there's a lot more than just turning up and getting into it. I've never heard that discussed.@@Mathemagical55
😂😂😂😂
Nice 😉🏴
