    I have plenty of M.T truck & bashers even motorcycle RC'S & just got a beautiful adrenaline red Jeep crawler & funny thing is when I look at it I see a monster truck conversion & want to slap on big tires LoL .IDK if Im into crawler yet, but for now Im leaving it alone for now .I just add metal bumper set with Leds & hitch with the tire mount& for the front electric wench. Nice scaler's, appreciate the info & if your still looking for parts Amazon has it all ,the Chinese express LOL . Salute my friend enjoying your vidz 💯🔥🔥😎

    If you want a real tough and inexpensive set of links, use threaded rod, steel brake line, and Revo rod ends to make them. Heavier and stronger than aluminum, and you can make them whatever length you need to optimize your drivetrain angles... I use them on all my trucks...

    Personally think an old Ford F series or a Ram body would fit the bill very nicely. And by the way the Clodbuster Chevy shell is a good fit for an SCX10 had one on mine but Fall Guy paint job turned out so well didnt dare to scratch it. Its now a shelfie sat on a CC01 chassis. Got loads of vids on it on my channel!

    I like the Jeep body, and Mojavie. 6/32 threaded rod fits the turn buckles. The you get some aluminum tubing to cover the threaded rod between the turn buckles. I never buy round links. Just make my own.

    Of the bodies you have I think the jeep looks the best. And I always make my own links out of threaded rod from lowes and traxxas revo ball ends. They are bigger to fit the larger threaded rod

  • @Cmcryder

    Look at JConcepts, they have a whole line of the classic 90s monster truck. I am building my own off a similiar chassis I custom made. I have an SMT10 there is just something about them that brings me back.

  • @TimberWolf429

    I have used Traxxas steel rods, as my 4 links for years, they do the job well, and allow for adjustments to the wheelbase, and axle clock.

    I would move the rear shocks at the top furthest to the back less stress on shocks in my opinion I know this is a different realm but all new style 4x4 quads like the Polaris n can ams the back suspension actually goes up and back so the back tires actually mimic the front and the suspension is slightly titled back the tires actually come back a hair as your compressing apparently gives u better handing as well. As for a body I think the new proline crawler dodge power wagon body would looks fantastic on this

    Have you tried the bigger j concepts or proline Clodbuster sized tires?

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are a little too big for the stock scx10 axles. You’d need something wider.

  • @NSAwatchesME
    @NSAwatchesME 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't get how the axel works, it's a rod inside that rotates with the wheels? But that means lots of friction and the rod doesn't get any shock absorb help

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The axle shaft spins on ball bearings inside the axle housing so no friction.

    • @NSAwatchesME
      @NSAwatchesME 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RCeveryday the ball bearings is what I mean by friction and the ball bearings get some of the impact force. In a real car would not last very long? I think this is why they use inrunners with a gear to increase torque instead of an outrunner. A large vehicle can be made simple with tank turns. Surely an rc can do the same. Small vehicle would have to stick to inrunner so that wheel hub can be attached to axel and have a pivot joint.

      Sitting on that chassis it reminded me of an astonishing one-off movie build - there was a post-apocalyptic movie called "Damnation Alley", which featured a rig known as the Landmaster. It was articulated & fully amphibious & utterly awesome - you can see it easily on YT.
      As for your mud truck, would an American pickup not be the most appropriate body? I did like the way the HiLux looked, so well weathered & all, but I agree it´s not a very typical mud truck body.
