There's a reason that Gunsmoke ran for 20 seasons, it is one of the best shows ever. Me and my wife watch it everyday.

I agree! My dad grew up watching Gunsmoke and many other classics. We watch Andy Griffith and Gunsmoke everyday for dinner as a family.

Not only did it run 20 years, they also put out more episodes . . . 30 to 40 per year.

It had morals. Men were men and the women wore dresses and were very beautiful. The men were honest, and worked hard. The women worked hard and made homes with healthy families. There’s a great deal of history incorporated in Gunsmoke, like stories about cattle drives on the Chisholm trail.

Generally, for cost reasons, movie sets are built to be only as strong and as durable as is absolutely necessary. In a few rare instances, some private promoter will build a durable set with the intention renting it over many years of use - such as Old Tuscon Studios (Theme Park).

I saw it happen by watching 90210 and Melrose Pl. 90210 started out as a good wholesome show with good family values .seriously ,watch the pilot episode and then watch the last episode ,you can't even recognize it as the same show .something happened .we were exposed to our first homosexual and next thing you know the whole show just turned into a drama factory

It's a shame these weren't saved for posterity.Loved that show and most of all the old shows they had messages of value.Unlike today where most tv is about who has the best put down or making people appear stupid.I believe the piece you asked to identify is the front steering axle of a supply wagon. Thanks for the fun vid. :)

When I was a kid during the 50s & early 60s, we watched Gunsmoke every week.
I even remember when it changed from a 30 minute show to a full
    1 hour program.
As a kid, The Rifleman was my favorite show.
But as I grew to adulthood, Gunsmoke became my all-time favorite TV show.

Property is often passed down to ungrateful heirs. All they care about is the cash. They don't care about how hard their family worked to obtain the land or it's historical value. Once they have pissed away the money there will be nothing left but regrets.

They are not curious, they just know that the guy that owns these cattle, will show up again to feed them some hay. They don't the difference between one man and another. I know what I'm talking about because I was raised in utah and one of my first jobs (given to me by my dad) I had to feed these creatures almost everyday during the winter months. Where was the original Gunsmoke radio show recorded? The Gunsmoke radio show ran for several years influencing the later TV version. The original radio Gunsmoke starred William Conrad as Matt Dillon, Georgia Ellis as Miss Kitty, Parley Baer as Chester and Howard McNear Doc Adams and all were named (except Miss Kitty probably named by the shows Director John Weston) by William Conrad.

We went there maybe 15 years ago, up Johnson Canyon outside of Kanab Utah. It looks much more weathered than it did when we were there. However, we never entered past the gate because there were all these No Trespassing signs (maybe they were removed, later). Not too far away, towards Lake Powell, is the lost ghost town filming location, Pariah. Luckily we were able to also visit that place before it was destroyed by either fire or flood. It was totally cool and still 100% all there. The Outlaw Josey Wales was filmed at Pariah. When we visited it, there was no one else around. We got some neat video of the inside and outsides of the wooden buildings. So sad it's all gone.

Way cool video, used to watch Gunsmoke reruns as a kid. Had a lot of that old west stuff around my family farm.
    Thanks for the memories.

Dude, your editing is awesome. Even more so than 90% of most of these channels. You should be proud. Let me know if you ever get out the Maryland way and I will take you to a bunch of haunted and historic places. Also, let me know if you need some music for your channel. I’d be glad to make you some custom music or anything you need. Keep up the great work.
