@@pudner698 maybe that particular group didn't suit. You could always try again or another type of group. If you work at it, it works. Maybe it's not suitable to everyone though and that's OK too. I hope you find the right support and it helps you along the way 🙂
@@lebe6863 well it's not ok if the handbook when I attended was full of prayers like the 'act of surrender' and physical touching (between strangers) was strongly encouraged like hugs at the end of the meetings with the handbook stating 'hugs are healing'. Not if you have been sexually abused and have to hug a member of the opposite gender that you have never met before they're not. It's not ok if counselors are able to rock up to a meeting as 'volunteer's' and subsequently start to get clients from the meetings and benefit financially from very vulnerable people.

Because In all my time as a part of grow none of that behavior would be a thing that we would even consider. Sounds very bizarre!
