    little tip for future repairs on chips with broken pins, you can get a tiny usb engraving pen and use it to remove some plastic on the edge of the chip next to a broken pin to expose the internal metal leg and solder a wire onto it. ive fixed a lot of things this way

    seeing the state of those caps makes me somewhat grateful that the first time round i sent my pc engine gt away to be fixed they didn't butcher it anywhere near as badly, they just didn't bother replacing half the caps, in the end i re did the whole job myself and im glad i did!

    • @Charlie_Crown
      @Charlie_Crown 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Mizai It's a very annoying, irritating, issue for sure, when it happens like this, it's something TH-cam definitely need to address, and from what i've read, they are well aware of it, but this really isn't the fault of any poster, this is ALL the fault of YT.
      Of course it wasn't an issue when comments were always a scroll down to the bottom, and then they decided to go with this format. But this irritating issue could easily be resolved by eliminating that single visible comment, with a simple update, making it so, to read any of the comments, you'd have to purposely click on comments. But of course YT are typically slow to act on anything that doesn't involve large amounts of money

    B-Y and R-Y sounds like Pb and Pr from Y, Pb, Pr component. Y is Luma. Pb and Pr are the difference from Luma to generate blue and red. Green is generated from Y algorithmically.

    • @sobertillnoon
      @sobertillnoon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is a reference to the YCBCR color space. Y is luminance. Cb is blue minus luminance, hence B-Y. Cr is similar. The Pr and Pb you mention is a gamma corrected variant.
