This should be implemented for the rigs that comes with Houdini so you can quickly do walk and run cycles. And the quick-rigs should be even more modular.
    Something like CAT for 3dsmax.

How do you assign parts of the geometry to be effected by CHOPs? For instance, how do you select the bones and designate it as Cockpit or Torso or R_Arm ? Thanks! Great tutorial.

Is is possible to bake key-frames on a skeleton that has it's channels driven by CHOPs? I'm interested in using this approach for exporting fbx animations for Unity.

Thank you for stopping by! I finally got the time to package an example file. Here is the link to it >>> github.com/MihneaSto/Generating_Procedural_Motion_LA_HUG_Example_Files It is not the mech file as to I can not share that but I added the Tommy Hands example. Feel free to deconstruct the file and test out your own ideas. Let me know if you have any questions. All the best!

I won't lie, this video was a disappointment. I got hyped when I saw a CHOPs video on the Houdini channel, because those things are more rare than unicorns, but the only takeaway from this (25 minute) video was that you can build your own workflow using CHOPs to create (some) procedural motion. I think pretty much every Houdini user already knew that. If this was aimed at non-Houdini users, it might help to mention what CHOPs is, because that word is meaningless to them.
