CHOPs, A Comprehensive Introduction ← Houdini

In Houdini, CHOPs - or "Channel Operators" - are a way to generate sequences of numbers and vectors independently of geometry. They are an old and mysterious part of Houdini which have an unfair reputation for being difficult. In this video, we'll give you a solid introduction to CHOPs, and show you how to create channels of data using Python, VEX, or CHOPs.

thanks for this clear and great tutorial, one issue ive got at 7 mins in, if I put the expressions you put, e.g. sin(time()), I get the error "Unable to evaluate expression (Unknown function in expression (/obj/geo1/choppy/path/value0x)). "
If I put something like sin($FF), it works, im not sure why time() is not recognized? im using houdini 20
