    I've had my Accord Touring EV for about a month and enjoy it very much. The video was spot on. The one (kind of) glaring shortcoming is that the front passenger seat is set too low and has no vertical adjustment capability, something that should not be missing in this top-of-the-line model. Others have noticed the lack of steering wheel heating capability, but that's not a major deal here in NC, though it could be argued that it should be included in Honda's top model. A great analysis. Thanks.

    My wife and I have owned Honda’s and Toyota’s for over 40 years. Big difference in taking sharp corners. Honda puts center of gravity in the front seats. Not nearly as much sway as Toyota where you tend to get thrown side to side. My 2 cents. Just bought the 23 EX-L and absolutely love it.

      I agree. Those 19 inch low 40 profile tires make for a rough ride and are a real deal breaker for me. It's like running on the metal rims. Also the car is far too low and is a real bitch to get into and out.

    Another great review by you Robin. How do you compare the ride comfort, interior road and cabin noise, and handling, between this new Accord and the Subaru Outback Wilderness Which of these cars would you most recommend? Could you fit a full size mountain (fat) bike in the back of the Accord?

    • @viewsonvehicles
      @viewsonvehicles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much! Interesting comparison. The Accord wins hands down with handling, it's lower to the ground, tuned solely for road driving and tuned quite well. Road and cabin noise is slightly better in the Accord as well, but the two are much closer in that category. And the Subaru has the Accord beat for ride. You get more tire sidewall, suspension travel, and an off-road friendly suspension to boot. Also, the Outback will much more easily swallow a mountain bike. I'm not sure if one would fit in the Accord, but, if it does, I'm confident if would be a tight fit.

I know all the basics...(current speed, posted speed limit, nav info, etc..) - but does it include incoming caller info? Any Music selection info? This is a very elegant car, but many people are unable to appreciate simplicity. It’s not a car for me for various practical reasons, but I certainly do not want leather seats or sunroofs which many people apparently demand.

    • @viewsonvehicles
      @viewsonvehicles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That you very much! No chance to test tight parking space fitting ease, unfortunately. But, the wheelbase is the same. And while the rear track is a touch wider, turning radius is still going to be very close to a 10th generation Accord. So similar performance in that regard. Which one? The 1.5-liter does have a CVT yes. But it's 192 horsepower. The Hybrid does not have a transmission at all, just clutch packs to connect and disconnect different power sources from the wheels. And correct, most the time its running purely from the drive electric motor, which peaks at 181 horsepower. But when the engine is engaged with the wheels, it can contribute a little more to give the 204 horsepower total.

No one likes piano black and the 11th gen is filled with it! I thought Honda finally got then and done away with glossy black interior parts in the 10th gen. Why honda decided to bring back the piano black is beyond me. 2:34 The front of the new accord looks like a older gen Volkswagen. the 2.0T engine with the 10speed is an awesome powertrain. I would much rather have a new 10th gen. Honestly do these review guys have to say all positive shit about everything?! 3:55 The side view of the new 11th gen looks like a 9th gen to me. If so, looks like Honda may have really tried to improved the suspension to give a descent ride on 19" wheels.. I know that some of the best suspensions in the world are "air" suspensions.. Simply put - "air" is a great suspension. So the more air you have in the tires the better the ride. I think simply going with higher profile 17" wheels - instead of the low profile 19" should really improve ride quality.. Since you can have more air volume to ride on with the 17" wheels.. I disagree on the styling and on the 2.0 L turbo that has oil dilution problems. The styling in my opinion was much better on the 10th gen and I consider myself to be a major car guy. A non turbo motor is much better for longevity and no need to change your oil every 3,000 miles with a normal N/A engine. The problems I find with the 2023 Honda Accord: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio (in the US) for some reason if you get one in Canada it comes with XM Radio, so Honda, there is no excuse. If a 2023 or 2024 car missing all of these features is fine for you, then get one. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these glaring deficiencies will be resolved.

      @@scott-su5es no it isn’t . majority of folk have been complaining about the exterior appearance. when the 10th gen was released, the exterior was praised over its departure from that of the 9th.
      This looks like a refresh of the 8th gen.
      Which says a lot, in a bad way.
      BUT I MUST SAY, in person it looks better than on video. Looks upscale. Nice in its upper trims. The ones getting one in the EX trim are bland.
      But even though in person it may look a bit better, it’s still a basic redesign, that needs a refresh already. So hopefully in 2025 they’ll give it a facelift. No one wants to purchase a car and not even receive a compliment on their new car. That’s nuts .
      only folks complimenting this are the ones that enrolled into Medicare 2024 in December. 🤣
