Review: 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring

  • I spend a week with the 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring to see what it's like to live with the 11th gen Accord. With a hybrid-heavy lineup for this new generation, the 2023 Accord focuses on an improved hybrid experience compared to the last generation and combines it with best-in-class comfort and amenities in my opinion. Overall, it retains it's crown as one of the nicest driving and most refined midsize sedans in the segment and while some of the excitement of the old 2.0T is lost, the 2023 Accord Hybrid should please the mainstream buyer even more than before. What do you think about the 2023 Honda Accord? Thanks to Honda for providing this vehicle to review!

    Idk why everyone wants to trash this just for not having the Type R engine. The car does the job for what it's supposed to be. The Accord was always a car that gets you to point A to point B reliably.

    Great review, but that car sounds LOUD with road and wind noise. Also, I like that you highlighted the new safety cage in the Accord, most reviewers skip that part. It’s shocking it’s taken auto manufacturers this long to get passenger cars to adopt to large vehicles when they are the ones making them.

      @harisqureshi7469 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not sure who this question is for but I'll go ahead and answer it. To have regen "always on" you need to click the left paddle a few times and then hold it on the last time. this will keep it on regardless. The only time it will turn off is if you set cruise control, and cancell it, etc. And, I have a white 2023 Sport Hybrid with just over 4000 miles and I dont mind the ride one bit. The wheels look amazing so its an ok trade off. Getting 52MPG using max regen. I drive 60-70MPH in congested traffic and in the slow lane so maybe thats why but I have 0 complaints, this car is really nice, doesnt have me yearning for an Acura, or anything nicer, this is more than enouch for years and years to come :)

    Matt I totally agree with you. This is a better car than the previous generation, however there are two things I personally do not like and that’s the honeycomb vent and the location of the 12 inch display. This has become so obstructive in cars. And last but not least, I would gladly swap the heads up display for a heated steering wheel which can be a dealbreaker for some. That said I am totally happy with Legacy Touring XT that left no option off the table. You are doing a great job Matt.

    For me the accord sits too low to the ground hampering ingress and egress. The infotainment system looks great compared to my slow responding and frequent freeze ups on my Honda Ridgeline (2020). The heated steering on my honda is absolutely wonderful (bad omission on the accord) and my RTL-E stereo sounds great. I don't have cooled seats but have experienced them in a Mazda (wonderful in southern climates). The beltline looks high in the accord hampering outside visability (it looks almost chin level on you). As far as smoothness, it seems to be going the Camry route and abandoning its sporty roots. The 2.0T will be sorely missed. I understand the emissions and mpg concerns. I have had two accords and loved them, but they are a bit noisy on the highway. The accord coupe I had was the v/6 auto EXL. I would love to get my hands on a low mileage one of those as it had no problems for me. As always Matt, great job with your review.

    Seat doesn't go up and down completely but tilt up and down only from front for driver seat. Passenger seat does not have tilting option either. Seats dipped too much, so lack of cushioning as well and considering top touring model, will give seats 1/10. If we ignore seats, then easily 8/10 for touring model. The problems I find with the 2023 Honda Accord: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio (in the US) for some reason if you get one in Canada it comes with XM Radio, so Honda, there is no excuse. If a 2023 or 2024 car missing all of these features is fine for you, then get one. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these glaring deficiencies will be resolved. Latest news as of January 2024 Honda Parts will sell you a spare tire kit for approximately $500.
