I took a break from Stitching for a while and I have regained my Stitching interest. I ran across your videos. Your teaching videos are always a pleasure to watch. This was a great refresher course. Thank you!❤
Just want to say, thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge on the needle works. Late start to the project but will start soon, can’t wait to learn all the different type of stitches and techniques. Thank you so much ❤
Thank you, Nicola for loving our art and loving those who practice it so much as to make such a generous offer! I am so looking forward to learning from you!
Thank you Nicola for your video and the opportunity to participate in your classes. It is so generous of you to give your time and expertise with these sessions and very much appreciated.
Oh my stars!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this free workshop! I am so looking forward to the tutorials, and will try to get fabric and floss this week. It is my fervent wish to one day be able to stitch the reversible Alexandrina da Silva sampler as beautifully as she stitched the original. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🥰 💖 😘
Happy Mother’s Day, Nicola! I made each of my two daughters a wedding ring pillow and a box for their Arras ( a Spanish tradition that Filipinos still practice of exchanging a set of 13 coins between the couple to symbolize their pledge t care for their family). Thank you creating a free MrsParkaman’s workshop for us to learn by and enjoy. You are so generous. Take care!
Oh my! Beautiful information can’t wait to start the learning sessions. You are so generous with your knowledge. Just want you to know you are so appreciated!
Thank you so much for this workshop!! As a newbie in my 50s who dabbled with cross stitch in my 20s - I'm so excited to learn how to really stitch well xo
Dear Nicola, thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity to participate in this workshop. I love the sampler and look forward to learning new stitches. You are incredibly generous and I am so grateful!
Hi Nicola, This is so generous of you to do. Thank you so much. I have already downloaded the pattern. Looking forward to stitching along with yourself and everyone. What a lovely idea! We can all learn. Thank You for sharing with us.
I really enjoyed the workshop in Northern Kentucky with the Queen City Sampler Guild and really learned a lot about how to make my stitches look neater on front and back. You are an amazing teacher and very generous with your time too. I loved Margaret Hutton and the sampler that you gifted us also. Looking forward to the Stitch Along in the next few weeks. Thank you for all you do to make our stitching community better and better! I never miss any of your videos as they are always chock full of goodness. Hope to see you again soon! Happy Stitching! Dottie
Thank you so much for this!! I don't have the funds to pay for classes and of course cant travel either so this is amazing. I have been trying to learn on my own but it is so much easier to see someone actually do the stitches. Again, Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity.
I learned to cross stitch at age twelve. At age seventy-two, still learning. Thank you Nicola. I can now do reversible cross stitch if I should ever desire to do so.
Thank you Nicola for being so generous and sharing your knowledge with us. I have been hesitant in doing some samplers because of the different stitches, and not having the confidence do them. These videos I am sure will give me the confidence to attempt them now.
Thank you so Very Much for offering this work shop to us. I went to get the chart just now. I'm a very visual learner so I think this will be a great help for me to learn new stitches of which I know little.
So looking foward to this stitch-a-long; have gotten everything ready. The stitch calculator was really easy to use. Thank you for ensuring that we Aida stitches will be able to stitch-a-long.
It was so great, excellent, wonderful to see you and Linda again last weekend. I loved the Margaret Hutton workshop and I look forward to honing my new skills through practice and also this new workshop you are offering. Thanks!
I made that hardanger pillow for my niece’s wedding with the intention of becoming a heirloom piece and to be used in our family for all weddings to come. I also made a little bag to hold the coins, that bag had been made for each wedding with their names and dates, but the pillow does not have names so it can be used for all.
I’m so excited to start the workshop because I love to learn new skills. I have been looking at the beautiful Elizabeth Charlotte Cotton because I love band samplers and this one has an online workshop that I would love to complete. However, I worry that I just don’t have the skill required. This new workshop will hopefully give me the skills and confidence to develop my needlework. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it’s simple tips like the scissors are invaluable to beginners such as myself. I think it’s the very basics that are often overlooked.
Well i learned something new today. I never thought about blade thickness. Now i need to inventory my scissors. Thanks for the mini lesson! I can't wait to start the Sampler SAL.
Thank you Nicola for the wonderfull video..I look forward to our learning moments the following weeks. Amazing what you do for us! Its so apriciated (don't even know if its spelled correctly🙈). And don't worry about all the packing, I am sure we can wait for our packages to arrive😘
Hello Nicola I loved the little black sampler you took to the States. Georgina Caroline Williams. I adore your Hardanger cushion it’s such a beautiful technique. Thank you for the video.
Nicola, so very kind of you to offer us this sampler and tutorials. Thank you so much. I hope one day you release Doris Wood as a true reproduction. It's amazing, and I'd love to stitch it as is. Do you have any history or date on it? It has a Deco kind of feel, especially the flowers.
Hello Marlene - there is no date on Doris’ sampler but I agree with you. It does have an Art Deco feel to it. I hope to release the sampler one day as a workshop but I really do not know when that will be. There are so many skills demonstrated in the sampler. N x
I was wondering where I can find Cornwall cross stitch pattern, I purchased it, received it but now can’t find it so might have to re purchase it but not sure where purchased if you know could 😮you let me know. Appreciate it. Enjoy your videos. 3:42
Hello I am sorry that you have experienced a problem. I suspect that your email provider has blocked the incoming email. Do you have an email address with another provider such as gmail that you could try? N x
Hello Rhonda - My first choice is my Millennium frame but I use a small hoop for travelling. If I have a project that requires changing the orientation of the fabric as I work I will use a large hoop and either the Poltoky floor stand or lap stand.

Hello it would be best to email your query. I will then track it down for you.
Will we need a specific thread count linen for the Academy of Needlework project?
Hello - the count of your fabric is for you to decide.
Just curious what the count is on the original academy sampler?
Hello Ellie - the original fabric was 16ct, 8 stitches to the inch.
What is your opinion on scissors with the curved blades, to cut closer ?
Hello Ellie - I have used curved blades.
I'm not able to sign up as the email verification is not coming through. I've looked in spam and just am not receiving it. Suggestions?
Hello
I am sorry that you have experienced a problem. I suspect that your email provider has blocked the incoming email. Do you have an email address with another provider such as gmail that you could try?

I had to send an email to Nicola and whitelist her account in order to receive her verification email. Hope this helps.
I would love to see your process on starting a project. Do you always start on scroll rods? Would you start a smaller project on a hoop? Thank you
Hello Rhonda - My first choice is my Millennium frame but I use a small hoop for travelling. If I have a project that requires changing the orientation of the fabric as I work I will use a large hoop and either the Poltoky floor stand or lap stand.
@@nicolaparkman Thank you!
Thank you Nicola for offering this wonderful opportunity to learn from you. This will certainly prepare me for Hobart 2025 🪡
