SKYLINE is my favorite High School band. I watched this video from the beginning to the end. The LEAD DRUM MAJOR has the desire and the other 3 are good. This band has discipline and heart. Here’s a BIG SHOUT OUT TO YOU ALL , from a older generation (1979) band member who played in our high school band from the state of Kentucky . AWESOME GUYS!! You brought tears to my eyes. Keep up the great work.

While I can appreciate the spot on imitation of THE J5 Sonic Boom, it would be good to see some creativity of their own. The lead DM is headed straight to JSU. He has that passion. Great job.
Every band got something from another band...if not they would not all be doing the same marchor dances... Be proud... They thought it was good enough to be 👍
What do you all expect? It's the alumni that graduate and become directors that bring those traditions to other schools. When you all do workshops with high school bands and drumlines what style do you expect them to take on? I would be proud of the mentorship and influence that JSU program has on the youth. If it was a college imitating another college then that would be just straight tacky.
Williams Twins ahhhh. Now yeah cause Alcorn changed the way they keep their left hand when marching (that’s something little but I be paying attention😂) like 2015 was persona my favorite year for Alcorn DMs
as an alumni of the Duncanville hs band i never really got yalls style of marching but ive always had a deep respect for the Skyline marching band. greatness recognizes greatness. keep it up!

I’m a band head to the core and have been since a since, all the way through college. Just judging from presentation and performance, is it wrong that I’m more pleased with the Skyline Band than JSU Band this marching season? Great job band!!!
ok i been binge watching these all day. one thing i noticed is some, not all, but some of the HS drum majors take the whistle out of their mouths but i havent noticed any college drum majors do this. Would taking the whistle out be frowned upon or is it not a thing? Im from the north so forgive me haha
The more important question is why do they have the whistles in the first place. Take them away along with the stupid scepters and you'll have made a good start at turning them into real Drum Majors rather than the glorified color guard members that they are.
@@Kilo-sz4ch I reckon the tempo is fine for entrance cadences in general, but that particular cadence definitely should be slower. That may not be the best entrance cadence for them.

So for you to tell Skyline DM's to stop copying EK DM's sound stupid AF, especially since EK copying JSU as well! SMDH!

They are not Corp Style like Duncanville they are a high stepping show band.
