I watched a lot of chikar cholay recipe on many channels but being a lahori I rejected all of them and what finally I got an authentic recipe on a Delhi UP Karachi channel. Well done 👍
For further authentic flavor don't use non stick pans. I personally believe that the flavor of the food suffers in non stick pans. Non stick pans are good for quick recipes like Chinese food but not for slow cooking Pakistani food. Thanks
Bless you...you are the first one to show us the real CHIKAR CHOLAY.....cooked only in water and then they are sold in wooden containers that soak the extra water making them thicker again and giving woody flavour thus placing the bar still higher.......thank you.....love you....I am subscribing you just because of this recipe

Normally we put baking soda and not baking powder Quantity required for both is also different. Pl clarify what to use powder or soda or combination of both. Pl also MENTION quantity. Thanks

Lahri CHIKAR cholay traditionally sirf paani main bantay hain. Lekin aajkal commercially oil bhi use hota hay. lekin wo gharhay nahi hotay , shorbay walay hotay hain. Soon will bring that recipe too
Dear friend. My channel was started for Authentic Desi recipes. Authentic way for slow cooking is better than Pressure Cooker. But I always suggest that if you want to save time pressure cooker can be used.

I already explained that Traditionally daal never be used with cholay recipe. but commercially people use but it changes the actual taste of the dish

Baking Powder and Baking Soda are same things?
Baking soda is only Sodium Bicarbonate while Baking powder has 2 more ingredients with Sodium Bicarbonate
