    Had a 2005 FLHRCI and now a 13 FLHR anniversary. Love both and have em as framed pictures ! Great workhorse machines that retain character and reliability

    I love my twin cam 103 road king. I run it mostly without the windshield, has bags for my stuff, space for the wife and she’s comfortable enough on it. Great bike. Thanks for the video, another good one.

    4:32 yeah, I gotta admit, the black and grey looks pretty sick. I think the saddle bags could stand to be blacked out to give it a more “finished” look.

    I hear you on the squirrely feel, I tested the Heritage and it felt nimble but didn’t turn as well and felt it would to easily move with my hip input which can be good but it didn’t have a planted feel. Also at the stop light it felt more top heavy compared to the road king.

    Definitely road king. Definitely much better than anything else out there. I have a 2012 with the 103 love love love it and Yvonne everything in the family except for sportster.

    My hope is they bring back the Standard RK keeping the 114 but then upgrade the RKS to the 117 or hopefully the 121ci.
    They would sell so many RK standards if they could bring the damn price point down.
    That being said, that would be contrary to Mr Zeitz current business plan, focusing on premium models at premium price.
    People love the Road King because it doesn’t have as much electronic wizardry. It will sell if they’ll make it affordable.

      Totally agree. They get down and dirty with the police bikes, well under 20k per unit on the contracts I’ve seen (public records) so offering a classic 114 for $21k, you think would be achievable AND Mr Zeitz gets his $3500 on average unit profit. Instead they release ICON models for $28k and bump the special to $25, a bike that was $20k back in 2018.

      the main problem with doing the cheaper standard RK is that it would conflict with their FXLRS/T sales. The price points really start to clash in that arena. I like both bikes but I bet it would drive more folks to the Road King.

      @@TheeLooseJuice is that the same customer? As a bigger guy, and you may agree, the FXLRST feels small to me, that rip around the speedway convinced me I can have as much fun on a RK (classic or S) as a FXLRST and I prefer the looks of the RK.

      @ I think it could be. Especially for guys that have historically been on softtail/Dyna but maybe are considering a touring bike. I doubt there’s much pull from bagger guys to the FXLRST, but I could definitely see a RK standard pulling low rider S buyers away.

    HD are making a mistake should they eliminate or bench the RK special,update the engine to the 117 integrate rear tail section and change to the shorty bags, this will give the RK a hot rod look, which is exactly what this bike is. They should also bring back the Classic, they make the police bike, practically the same.

      I hear the classic may come back as another ICON variant in 2025. In some areas a local dealer will order police bikes just to have so they can convert the seat, add some pin stripe and offer a classic should a customer ask for one. Thanks for watching!
