For those curious high school reunion is “la reunión del instituto”. Or “la reunión de la escuela secundaria”. To say “my high school reunion” just drop the “la” and replace with “mi”. And of course there are variations depending on usage and regional dialects. “¿Vas a ir a la reunión de tu instituto?” “No, nunca he estado en una.”
Hi, in reviewing the advanced part of this vid a week after seeing it for the first time I noticed at 33:12 that you translated 'antes' by 'beforehand', which is indeed a possible translation. But surely 'antes' (as employed without 'que') can be used just before verbs as well, whereas 'beforehand' in English cannot. Eg. Antes de hablar contigo telefone a mi hermano. Any further thoughts?
Dire algo positivo con tal de que mis alumnos lleguen a tiempo. Ellos a menudo llegan tarde. (Oye Martin, hay una diferencia entre 'antes de que' y 'antes' - besides, of course, the fact that one is followed by the indicative and one by the subjunctive? Excellent lesson by the way.)
Does anybody have any suggestions for me as I have been learning Spanish for about 6 weeks and I have been learning through this TH-cam channel I can say complete sentences and ask for things as I use it for work but I keep on having trouble comprehending the responses from the people I'm asking questions too like my brain just goes blank and I don't know what they're saying even though I've heard some of the words before
@@wandering_gnome2868 Don't rely upon just one channel. There are plenty of other good ones online, like Easy Spanish and Spring Spanish (with Maura). I can recommend some more if you are interested.
I paid for the course but can’t see any of the pyramid listening. I really liked the you tube videos but the course doesn’t seem as interactive as the you tube lessons.
@@SpannyFunny I was talking about the tennis champ Alcaraz at the end here, who is a guy. Therefore I used 'el'. It was tongue in cheek, goofing around.
