    Feb 2024.....This has been very useful...I have a few languages I can get along in to varying degrees...switching these days from Brazilian ( Portuguese ) I can to some extent transfer knowledge now that I am working a few hours a week at the local Menzshed with two men from Colombia. We communicate quite OK but every little bit more helps. Muito obrigado da Nova Zelânda 🇳🇿

How does one express plural, informal "you" otherwise? I really like your teaching method, it is so relaxed and easily assimilated.

      No, you don't need to learn anything first. Learning numbers etc... first is very slow route to becoming conversational.

    My husband is Mexican and he said that quedar means to stay and to meet up would be encontrar … I am a bit confused so wondered would quedar meaning to meet up be only understood in Spain ? Thanks 🙏

      Stay would always be the reflexive quedarse/quedarme etc... In Latin America it is more common to use encontrarse or reunirse con...

      He's wrong. "Quedar" means to meet someone, "quedarSE" means "to stay". And "encontrar" means to find

    Just curious.....why do u pronounce hacer like ha"th"er? Is this how they say in Spain or something? I pronounce the "c" as a "s." Like ha with the verb ser. I love ur videos! This bugs me though. I feel there must be a reason for.

      It's European Spanish. The Z and C (when it comes after an E or I) is sounded as a TH.

    The only thing I disagree about this video is the first verb mentioned here. Quedar is TO STAY for me. To meet up is ENCONTRARSE with someone. Please explain. Is that what people in Spain say?

    Before ordering I'd like to make sure it's more of the Mexican Spanish-speaking and not the Spain. By your examples I'm thinking Mexican, but I wanted to make sure because I know there is a slight difference.

      ​@Dan Hachi Mexico, by a wide range, has the largest spanish speaking population in the world. I wouldn’t say that spanish belongs to Spain. Likewise, the US is the largest english speaking country, and I would not say english belongs to England (UK).
      Most Americans are going to encounter spanish speakers from the Americas than from Spain.
      With all that being said, this system is an awesome way to learn spanish. I am heading to buy it now, but wanted to read reviews first.

    I can't get used to pienso to mean to plan. In Mexico I have heard many times plan, same as English. Is it just a Spain thing? To me pensar means to think

      How I look at it is pienso is to think a thought. I use to get confused with career (to believe or to think) but now I understand the difference.
