...apparently water is leaking into the rear hatch through the top seal of this piece...thanks for showing me how to get into it...👍
worked like a charm, thank you , 1 other tip i opened the glass window to re-attach the plastic cover that was the biggest pain of the whole project , * note* 2 screws for camera were 3/16 or 5mm
Helpful, thanks
I had mine replaced years ago after an accident. It is gapped on the edges near the lights. Your's looks really tight. I assume if I tightened the outer bots it would tighten that up? Thanks.
Yep the two outer bolts really have an affect on those edges
My lock and glass flipper stopped working. I'll try this out but not top priority as used parts are still showing $245
I bought mine new for low 200s.
By any chance would you happen to have the chrome piece still?
Sold it.
I have a 2013 GC overland with the powered liftgate.
I want to open it manually to replace the electric lifter and I am not able to find any video on TH-cam or the entire internet sowing me to do it.
I need help.
You'd just need the Laredo strut..the electric lock should still work
@@TroutWest The problem I am facing I could not open the liftgate by remote or by the liftgate handle to replace either the electric lifter or the air strut.
its opens and starts moving up for 1 or 2 cm and then closes again.
gratzi gratzi !
where did you get your part from and was it pre painted?
Ebay... Factory color.
Can I see what it looks like without the chrome piece on now I gotta do it myself to know come on bro
Just google image 2013 WK2 Trailhawk and look at the liftgate pics
Wht did that part cost ?
180 something I believe.
This would have been so much more useful if you had shot the video While you were actually doing the swap.
It's really not that complicated, the key is understanding the tips I give in the video. It's really that easy. Plus, if you have questions about the install you can post up what they are and I would have answered them.
Seriously
