- This is officially the quickest WK2 Jeep in the WORLD! We couldn’t believe the size of the dang turbo hiding behind the rear bumper, that thing is massive! Better yet, this jeep is still running a factory motor and going high 10’s…that’s just insane! Considering how heavy this thing is, it’s impressive to see it going this fast down the drag strip.

everyone's talking about the rear mount turbo or complaining about world records, but can we just acknowledge how friendly and polite that driver was? seriously, some people with cars like that are simply stuck up and rude, but he was alway smiling or saying thank you every other sentence. props to him👍🏼

Today we have 2018 making 1000hp and running 8.60 with twin turbo set up stock 5.0 and stock trans.
Calvo motorsports made 1400whp with a stock longblock TT viper.
That is amazing that they are turning a stock 6.4 Hemi up from 485 HP to twice that much power and not breaking anything!

Little known fact. Turbos spin the opposite direction in the southern hemisphere which equates to double the boost we see in America.
They also run micro sized NAWZ bottles disquised as Red Bull cans.

It's great modification due to the fact that the exhaust pipe will last you a lot longer in the back just because of the pressure is not the same thing as pushing out pressure and sucking out pressure so it's a great thing that you guys done with this model hopefully I can see it at another models and as well as in not only Dodge or Jeep but other car companies as well maybe a little lag a little bit maybe a second less but it is well worth it due to the fact that in the long run your exhaust will be taking care of a lot better than if you put in the front and your turbo won't heat up as much
Love the drivers personality, seems like a guy you could have a drink with and talk cars. When he ran that first pass and beat the world record I actually got hyped for him when he got the results.

Depending on what you are looking for rear mounted turbos have some advantages. you have a cleaner engine bay for one and less heat soak. and not to mention you can always pop the hood n say it's stock when you are trying to stay a sleeper lol.

Rear mounted turbos only make sense if you have absolutely no space in your enginebay. Every inch more intake manifold and every inch more exhaust pipe to the turbo adds turbolagg. So mounting your turbo a mile away from your engine and routing 4" pipe all the way to the front adds alot of lag. The big plus is the nice turbowistle because the turbo outlet ist a few inch away from the exhaust tip.
Brilliant; amazing time- the four wheel launch adds a lot even if with weight penalty. Looks a tad slow in the first 30 feet; he launches it pretty easily. Wondering if there are a couple tenths to be found there. Congrats mates- that's a beast which is still a pleasure to drive on the street. Well done.

Very Cool. My Brother has a twin remote turbo setup in his vette and it's a monster. the turbos don't get that hot since there not off the manifolds .

I nearly wish I had rear mounted my Tacoma again. The front manifold mount was a giant pita to install. Rear mount is stupid easy.

Granny Shifting a lot of people do rear mount set ups just makes packaging so much easier and keep additional gear out of the engine bay

woah that rear mount turbo is pretty sweet, is there any benefit/disadvantages to this kind of set up? I've seen this like 3-4 times and always wondered about them
Slightly more lag and more weight from the additional plumbing. Keeps excessive heat out of the engine bay though.
Only bad thing about that turbo placement is that theres probably some crazy turbo lag. But the things a beast no matter what

I'm not 100% sure but sounds like he is talking about a gts4. (available in sedan or coupe in awd.) If so it should be rb25 non turbo awd unless modified/swapped.
If that is a legit 4 door then that is very rare. The add is not in english, and with 2 pictures it is hard to tell if it is legit. But for being a Skyline parts are already at a premium. Also, these car's are aged so problems are to be expected. If you are mecanicly inclined, you can save there. If you are in USA be aware any import has to be 25 years old to be allowed in the country.

can someone explain the rear mount turbo if the engine is in the front?? how does the forced induction enter the engine from that far? wouldn't the long piping from the back to the front of the engine effect boost?

6.4 is not really made for more than 8lbs of boost. If it had forged Pistons and few other changes it could 10-13 lbs of boost and run 1000HP
if he tunes the suspension and changes the heavy stock rims he can easily get into 9s.
That's when he starts breaking things

9s doesnt mean 9:00, it means from 9:00 to 9:99, he is already in 10:87 so it takes less than a second for him to get into 9s and also his wheels are 20 kgs each and AWD so the rolling resistance is a lot, his suspension squats a lot. your name matches you very well.
