Thanks for the video, can you give us an update on the cover? How it held up during the summer, etc...
I bought mine in September 2019. It is now June 2020. The top of the cover is dry and flaking off, but overall still intact. The flaking off is giving off a lot of dust! So if you just washed your car you will get it dusty again. I was hoping to get a year out of the cover but I don't see that happening. The manufacturer offered a 10 year warranty. I may take them up on that!
@@jorgedean1 Did you get the gold shield 5L? I'm planning on getting one. I live in a desert with lots of dust and sun. I don't want something that'll falling apart less than a year lol
@@ciscoo590 hey there, I just realized the cover I bought was from carcovers.com and not carcover.com. I can tell you that the one I bought was their second best and it only lasted as long as I described. It's even worse today on 7.14.20. Honestly I think all the manufacturers are getting their materials from the same place. I've had multiple car covers from multiple suppliers in the last 20 years and they last 6 months on average.
@@jorgedean1 that is not true- Empire has been in business for 40 years and we have had factories making the material for many years. These companies have no quality control and no idea what they are doing. Our covers last and we have good ratings in the bbb. Not all covers are the same. Email me and i will send you a real cover
@@jakegoldblum But carcover.com has lifetime warranty on their covers, while yours only have 2-12 years.
The most you can hope for with that cheesy lock and weasel cable is that the crooks will be laughing so hard that they won't be able to steal the cover.

Yes, looks like a good product. But actually it`s a plastic bag that keeps moisture in and on your car. The warranty is also a sham, they will compensate you 20 bucks even your cover is one day old.

Anything that helps deter a thief is a good thing in my book. It's not meant to keep your car from getting stolen, but there are "snoopy" eyes that maybe just want to take a peek and see what's underneath. If someone wants to take your car, they'll already know what you have but will need tools to get it undone. It's just one more step to keep that idiot away, and there are plenty of them out there!

They don't last. Mine is flaking away, and the white powder, I have to wear a gaiter to put on and remove the cover.
I got one for my T-bird and the thing leaks like a sieve! They told me that it “shrinks” to become waterproof and fits perfectly?!!? Why the hell would I want a $149 cover that “becomes” waterproof only after your car gets soaked a few times? BTW - dont believe the shrinking BS either.
I bought this cover also...it is NOT 100% waterproof as advertised..water soaked trough with just a 30 min rain.
THE SUN WOULD EAT THAT SHIT UP WITHIN A YEAR!
The lifetime warranty is a scam. Covers are cheap and did not last two months. Customer service is awful. Shitty company.

I bought one at lasted exactly one year warranty was $35 I got another one in November and now it’s January and it’s already falling apart it’s a piece of junk do not buy it it
