    FAQ
    1. Location:
I would love to disclose, but for safety reasons please respect my privacy. 🙏🏽
    2. Rent Price:
This place has been in my family's possession since I was born. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up. You most likely will not find this price/size in the city of LA.
    3. Couch:
I found this gem on Facebook marketplace. It's originally from IKEA, but it's discontinued.
Hope that helped! Thank you for watching 😇❤

Im glad i own & not rent in los angeles county 😅. So, basically that apt is "rent controlled" until they can jack up the rent via a new renter. I know exactly where it is cause ive seen you before 😅 no worries.... privacy locked in

I lived in LA 20 years ago and had TH-cam Existed, I too would have filmed all my move-ins! I lived in some great places and always love the charm you'll find in apartments so not ever thing is cookie cutter! Definitely hard to find a good landlord that takes care of their property too! I used to lease private rentals for a landlord I loved, so I'd rent them out literally within 1 hour of opening the doors because everyone knew the rentals I showed were ON POINT nice!

I love several things about your apartment, the hardwood, the built-in hutch in your dining room that right there on so much storage. I love the fact that you did not show your bedroom you need your own private space. You have a lot of space there for the price point and have washer and dryer in your unit. Omfg I used to live in the exact same unit in 2016/2017 and it was $2100 not including utilities 🧐 That's $500 more 5-6 years ago. I'm not sure how the rent could have dropped to $1600 in 2022.
Rent this low for a large 1 bed with in-unit washer/dryer hardwood floors, yard in back, in a trendy neighborhood is not the norm in LA. Just FYI for anyone looking at this video for proof that LA rent can be low like this.

Stunning apt! I love the orange lighting in your bf's office. Re: that brown humidifier/AC thing in the dining room. You can fashion a wood covering with wood pieces/slats, or using peices if wood from a palate (you can often find free palates in the back of stores outside or by the garbage. Turn it into the bar or something similar.

Pro tip for getting rid of water marks. Take a dish towel and put it on top of the mark. Then get an iron and set it to medium high. Iron on top of the dish towel and the water marks start to disappear. Saw this somewhere and tried it out on my parents dinning table and it totally works.
Edit: My pro tip is specifically for those white ring water marks☺️

The sink in the laundryroom is required so thag the washer can empty into it.. some places allow there to be no sink, but there is a higher chance of laundry room flooding... so your county must require the sink.. it reduces insurance costs too...

Cons are, old building means super loud from street noise, poor insulation, can hear my downstairs neighbor like she’s practically in my apt, no dishwasher, nothing renovated/redone. But for my budget it’s what I can get!

We often walk to go out in town. It's on a fairly quiet street with plenty of trees. I have both a front yard and a huge grass backyard and a garage. It's a duplex so I only have one neighbor that is a close friend. The best part is its rent control. I've been here 5 years and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

why were people collecting dishes? because back in the day dinner parties were a huge thing. you had to have plenty of dishes for all your company. big families were also a thing. needed even more dishes for all your kids (especially if they were clutzy and broke them while washing the dishes after dinner) and people tended to cook at home more often. lots and lots of dishes. it was pretty common to get a set on your wedding. or in my family.... you inherited them from grandparents who had passed on. i have my father in law's mother's dishes from when he was a kid (apparently mother in law was given them when his mom and dad passed away. but she didn't like them. kept them boxed up. when father in law passed away she gave all those danged plates, bowls and saucers to my husband.... they're STILL packed away.... i guess my oldest son can have them when he moved out.) they're actually really pretty. way too fancy for my hamfisted hooligans to use on a daily basis.
the dishes we use daily are from walmart!! no one gives a damn if they break!

I’m born and raised in Los Angeles and at this price location matters. We have a huge homeless population and parking is scarce. The city isn’t safe, privacy is scarce. Rent control isn’t a thing in most cities.
