I have a 6 gallon pancake compressor, using it in my wood shop. I use it for some tools, but mostly blowing sawdust around. I am frustrated at how often it kicks on, and it's so loud I need to wear ear protection. Have been looking to get a larger capacity compressor. Am I swapping problems (short recharge time, OFTEN... vs long recharge time, less often)?
Great question. Check out my video on the Fortress Ultra-Quiet 6 gallon compressor. It’s a total game changer. I also have a few videos on expansion tanks - if you pair a quiet machine with one of those you’d be golden. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching 🤘🇺🇸
Hey jimmy going to buy my first air compressor thinking about getting 6 gallon fortress but should i just get 10 gallon fortress instead will the 4 gallons matter. Hope to see you review the 10 gallon fortress one day.
Hey man! It all depends on what you’re doing. If you plan on using your compressor for anything other than nailing/stapling/inflating/impact - you’ll want the 10 gallon. That extra volume will allow you to run other tools (cutoff/die grinder/sander) briefly. If I wind up getting that machine you’ll be sure to see a review. 🤘🇺🇸
Great comparison, loved the longer video !
Thanks man! I appreciate you.
Great review/comparison video. Awesome idea. Time for a tank!!
I’ll build you one. Lmk what you want.
Once again, very clear. I purchased the pancake 6-gallon and love it.
Thank you for that feedback sir! I appreciate you 🇺🇸🤘

Yes, you are right about the 3gal compressor. They are a waste of money.
