@watappp it's a trap question because no matter how the Muslim answers, they are wrong. It makes it clear that they hold wrong beliefs one way or the other, whether the Muslim realizes it or not. Because they're not able to answer honestly without going against at least a part of their Islamic belief.
To say Muhammed was the first Muslim m of his time would be to suppose that there was no other Muslim m until Muhammed received revelations. That means no one in Earth was following the true teaching of Allah. So what does this guy mean by "Islam has always been there".

These guys like to play word games and make the conclusion that because the word (Muslim) means (submission to God) that anyone who has ever believed in a monotheistic God at any point in history is by default a (Muslim). The problem with this argument is that Muslims assume the Jews and the Christians worship the same God found in Islam while ignoring every bit of evidence to the contrary.
An example of this is found in how we as Christians will often refer to God as our Heavenly Father and the multiple passages of Old Testament scripture that identifies Israel as the children of God. On the contrary, the god of the Muslims explicitly denies having any children at all, and of the multiple titles and names given to allah, not one identifies him as Father. The relationship between allah and his creation then, is as that of a master and his slave, whereas with the Jew and Christian alike, God speaks clearly that he is not only a father to the fatherless, but also in the case of Christianity, the direct Father of the Messiah.
A way I like to mess with Muslims who make the claim that all Jew and Christian prophets and their believers were actually Muslims is to ask them if they believe in Jesus or not. They will likely tell you that they do, but only as a prophet, and only insofar as the message they believe he spread in regards to allah being the only true God. When they say this, tell them that they are actually (Christian) because they (believe in Jesus) too, and as we all know, to be (Christian) means to (Believe in Jesus). Of course, they will battle you on this point because they know the intention between our beliefs of Jesus are different; for us as Lord and for them as Prophet. When they do this, explain to them that just in the way we both believe in a Jesus that is not the same, so too do we worship and submit to the will of a God that is not the same. Not everyone who (believes in Jesus) is a Christian just as not everyone who (submits to God) is a Muslim.
Their God is Allah, and their Jesus is Issa. Our God is the Father, and our Jesus is his Son.

Narrated `Aisha: that the Prophet (ﷺ) married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that `Aisha remained with the Prophet (ﷺ) for nine years (i.e. till his death).

Almost every, if not every, debate on Christianity vs Islam I watch leaves me in shock and frustration; that shock and frustration comes from noticing how stupid, deceitful, and illogical the Muslims and there arguments are. If you study the Bible, regardless if you are Christian are not, you will come to see that Islam makes no sense. Even for a religion that claims it shares it’s roots with Judaism and Christianity. Things in Islam just happen. There is no explanation for anything. It doesn’t answer how Al Lah is able to forgive sins without Jesus, and it doesn’t explain how Muhammad and the black stone are able to forgive sins. It also doesn’t explain why Al Lah tricked people into believing Jesus was never crucified, and why it had to happen. There is a popular phrase among Muslims “only Allah knows” because not one of them can explain anything in their books (the Quran and the Hadiths).
