To be an Abrahamic religion it is obvious that you believe in the God of Abraham, the God who gave His eternal name to Moses, *Yehovah,* the same one who said He is the only God and the only saviour, the same God who manifested in flesh (Adam's fallen state) as Yehoshua (meaning Yehovah saves) to do exactly that....

Now there's another place in the Quran that gets my attention in surah al 3omran
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْقَصَصُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٦٢
Certainly, this is the true narrative, and there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Allah. And indeed, Allah ˹alone˺ is the Almighty, All-Wise.

The key to understanding who "your brethren" are is when it is narrowed down to "from your midst" (verse 15).
The other key is from verses 1-2, 5 where the Levites are distinct from the other 11 tribes and also the Levites' brethren are equated with the 11 other tribes (v.5). It's as simple as that.
No Muslim can claim Islam's false prophet as a fulfillment of Deuteronomy 18 when the chapter is considered in its entirety.

Deuteronomy 18 verse 15 through 18 you novice Muslims is talking about Jesus Christ now if you read it in context it's talking about a Israelite they would come in the future from the nation of Israel. Read John chapter 14 verse 24 and that is exactly what Deuteronomy 18 talks about because Jesus even says these words that I am speaking to are not for me but from the father.

Surah 29.27 speaks about Allah placing prophethood among his (i.e. Abraham's) descendants, which would also include Ishmael. Also, the Qur'an identifies Ishmael as one of the prophets and messengers (Surah 19.54). So according to the Qur'an, Ishmael is definitely in the prophethood bloodline.

I know many Muslims in my life and all of them are great people here in Oc cali. Very kind and family oriented. I shop at a Persian grocery store here in mission Viejo ca. and the people are so friendly. As a Christian, we can learn a lot from their community!!!! All muslins I have met are awesome. I lost my IPhone in the parking lot and it was returned to the Manegement and I was so thankful. I love these people. I differ theologically but respect them tremendously 💕❤️💕

If you believe that heaven and hell even exist... Most religions have no concept of such things, and there have been and are thousands of religions on Earth. Keep in mind that the idea of these things developed over time in Abrahamic religions, it didn't exist in earliest Judaism for example.

The poor and oppressed got tired of being taken advantage of, and gave themselves hope in the afterworld. Jesus, being an apocalyptic prophet (one of many) argued that the end was very close and those who had little will be the happy ones, and vice versa, which is why his message appealed so much.
It's seems very silly to me that a creator of the universe (if there was one), of billions of galaxies with hundreds of billions of stars and planets, and likely life forms on other planets, would feel the need to punish someone, on a tiny speck of dust we call Earth, for sleeping in the wrong position or saying the wrong thing, don't you?

@@thompson7562 Yes, but what is sin? In your religion something may be considered a sin (even a deadly one), but in another religion/culture it is not. So, it's relative based on your worldview. Hence, a single religion cannot be universal - just because you believe that something is wrong doesn't mean that others do. People have figured out the bad things and in general avoid doing them as they are not beneficial for holding a society together, but we don't need a religion for that.
You say that galaxies and stars didn't just come to be by themselves. A 100 years ago we had no idea what a galaxy was, what the universe looked like, how it started etc. You have the idea that something cannot come from nothing, well, in physics, in the vacuum of space, which many would call nothing, thanks to quantum mechanic we know that particles and anti-particles get created all the time - so something is made from nothing. Is god doing this, or is it the laws of physics? A similar process could have taken place on larger scale, and our universe could have been created from something called a false vacuum, given enough time (if that even had a meaning). We simply don't know. However, science has shown that 998/1000 things that people have attributed to god have natural explanations. Right now the origin of the universe is the last big question (and maybe we'll never know the answer to that one...) and the creation of life which we know started with complex bio-chemistry so I think given more time we'll be able to show in a lab what conditions and molecules might be required to start creating proteins and DNA. Again, less than a 100 years ago we didn't know what DNA was and what it did, and now we're starting to treat diseases by understanding it. Where do you think we will be in the next 100, 500 or 1000 years?
I simply see no evidence for a god. Ancient books (there are many!) are not convincing to me at all (and I have read a few...). They simply contain local myths and legends as well as scientific ideas of the time. Nothing that was not know. Vague verses can be fit to anything, and moral lesson in many are outdated as well as they see nothing wrong with slavery, women being obedient and treated as property in many cases, etc. So, they are a product of their time and place.
