Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source rhythm game first released as a demo in 2020 for a game jam. The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., with the four founding members being the Newgrounds users Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.
The game mainly revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay revolves around hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.
Friday Night Funkin' D-Sides, also called D-Side Remixes, is a remix-overhaul modification of Friday Night Funkin', created by DastardlyDeacon, where D-Side variants of characters from the original game and the Modding Community, as well the music, are featured.

I’ve always wanted a proper remix of this song and now I have my wish! As my favorite Fnf song of all time, you absolutely BLEW me away with this remix and it’s absolutely fantastic!! Really good job and I absolutely love the vocals and insts!! The mixing so great too!!
Besides some weird instances like 2:29 that have some weird audio stuff going on, this is really solid!! 10/10 🔥‼️

I like tha artwork a lot god z sounds a little more menacing but his voice didnt like fully change. Ristar has some robot sounding parts of his voice which i dont like both have good instrumentals and ristars sounds more galaxy like seeing how he's literally a star and he has pentagrams in his eyes a nice little touch. Vectorman has more notes whic makes him even more intimidating and the third verse sounds more heroic then before and his instrumental has that one twisting sound from most of lord x's songs and the electronic piano(i think?) is hard to hear but sounds good when you hear it. Alexx kidd sounds really nice and has an excellent instrumental for the feel he's going for and if you're continusly finding the d-sides cycles comments im making i dont comment on the end cause god z's voice isnt good with a lot of notes. Mighty makes it work but not like legit god z and ill have another comment on the instrumental
