Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source rhythm game first released as a demo in 2020 for a game jam. The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., with the four founding members being the Newgrounds users Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.
The game mainly revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay revolves around hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.
The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam on October 5, 2020. An expanded demo was released on November 1, 2020, with updates being released in the following months. A full version backed on Kickstarter titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game is in development

I also love how expressive they are, even the happy ones which are only used at the beginning and at the very end

I want a week with 4 more songs in it and possibly a special 6th and 7th song where it’s a literal custom night and you get to choose the difficulty of each animatronic like you choose the difficulty for a week, also different songs depending on Wich difficulty each animatronic has, I think that would make the 5 ultimate nights at Freddy’s, IF it’s possible.

Has anyone realized that you can skip some of song parts by pressing skip button that was near pause button?
When you skip it will zoom in and you cant fix it
also when I used the skip button in the end the song itself restarted (not the gameplay)
The comments told me, some say it works some say it don’t. It’s really cool tbh, however they say it should work when skipping to 5 seconds after or before. Like what you can do to TH-cam.

easily my favourite version of bite, the amount of care put into this one is insane, from the character designs, from the backgrounds, TO THE INTERACTIVE TH-cam UI? absolutely incredible.

The fast forward button in the HUD actually fast forwards
You can boop Freddy's nose on the poster in the office
And the lights and doors actually work
Another thing is the sprites are amazing and the song is banger
