Honestly I like the disgusting messed up animatronic designs. Since it's in a purgatory and it's pulling from now burned down and forgotten locations, it makes more sense for them to be semi unrecognizable or more obnoxiously scary compared to their original counterparts.
@@Bloogus that's honestly fair, i'm glad i have more of a reason to side with the design choices, but it's just not my style considering i grew up with the older games, i've sort of stuck to the uncanny-ness of normal animatronics looking unintentionally unsettling like the old chuck e cheese animatronics
@@tyon4187 No yeah that's completely fair. I actually like when the animatronics look authentic too. I've still haven't found any that hit that sweet spot with it though. Closest I can think of are the Five Nights at Chuck E Cheese remaster animatronics, which isn't fair at all since they're literally one to one recreations of most of the old window animatronics.
Honestly, I would have liked the new designs to look more like the old ones. The decomposed, fertilized and green look of them makes It all look like a real purgatory. But yeah, they “aged” kinda badly.
I'm glad the original developer has been gone in the fnaf community for good and thanks to the developer who remastered the game, and rewriting Garvey. I remember watching TH-camrs like Taste Gaming playing the original Dormitabis back in 2019 to 2020.
i am so confused with the replies in this comment section instantly disagreeing (Without stating a reason for their disagreement) with comments that prefer one or the other The og has a unique style and thats why it was so captivating in gameplay and why it was scarier than most fan games. UNFORTUNATELY, the story had issues, but that does not impact the pure gameplay experience The remaster... just doesnt. It has nothing special or unique going about its lighting or models and textures. (dark clean look) It also removed the golden freddy password encounter which was one of the most unique and biggest parts of the game and my favourite one at that You may like the remaster more or the og more, either way it is your opinion and your preference. So why shit on others opinions and statements without even bringing up why you feel that way? for the record i LOVE the og's artstyle and atmosphere because it really makes you feel like you're in purgatory (lore accurate) and it is gross and ugly ON PURPOSE, and i love it What i obviously dont love is the blackout situation and all the pedo subplot bullshit which is genuinely sickening but other than that i absolutely adore the og
The remaster is good but I miss the rough grimy moldy texture of the original it felt scarier I hope this remaster can make up for the reputation of this fan game it was one of my favourites
I know a lot of people said the original game was too bright and they prefer thos games lower brightness. I do agree that the original was too bright, but this remaster feels too dark. I had my computer on max brightness and could still barely see sometimes. Especially when Garvey showed up. I hope in the future 2.0 version, they fix that
The jumpscares and animatronic designs are still somewhat bad in the remaster (with the models themselves being great), but props for the creators of the remaster regardless, as they were working with essentially nothing and a really gross backstory.
OG jumscares: +lots of camera movement +camera is zoomed correctly +quick movements +better jumpscare noise -movement is stiff -jumpscare warnings -designs are bad and wonky Remastered Jumpscares: +More movement +designs are better +even better camera movement +animation is smoother -animation is too slow -worse noise -too zoomed in
The jumpscare sound should be changed to make it cooler but i rank the bear character and springtrap dude below heck! By the way i wish those would have motion blur.
I know this is a small change, but I appreciate that the new jump scares cut off their jump scare sound rather than let it play in it's entirety like in the first one. In the first one, after the jump scare sound ends, we get a moment of silence while looking at the animatronic, and during it, it feels less scary and even a bit silly at times
I might check this remake out even tho I'm my opinion some jumpscares like the B.O.A look better In the original and honestly I hope they made Garvey is less annoying because that was the main reason to why I couldn't beat the game. And there's also a reimagined version of Dormitabis coming and it's called "Purgatorium" if I remember correctly. But i don't know why the jumpscares in remake are so grayish and zoomed in. It's hard to tell which animatronic killed you but if this remake changed the story or sub plot then it's worth checking out (I never heard the sub plot because I never got all the tape and listened to them because I was focused in beating the game but I couldn't because Garvey was way to annoying and he was killing me on the last night so I basically gave up)

The new version jumpscare it's just still the same that I can't see very well it's just not well organized on the view tho lol 😅
i don't know why i liked this game back then, the animatronics looks like what 9 year old me would've made for custom animatronics with gimmicky sharp teeth, and the jumpscares look more weird and unnatural than anything (but tbf, to a certain point i can't be talking cause i can't model nor animate)
Honestly I like the disgusting messed up animatronic designs. Since it's in a purgatory and it's pulling from now burned down and forgotten locations, it makes more sense for them to be semi unrecognizable or more obnoxiously scary compared to their original counterparts.
@@Bloogus that's honestly fair, i'm glad i have more of a reason to side with the design choices, but it's just not my style
considering i grew up with the older games, i've sort of stuck to the uncanny-ness of normal animatronics looking unintentionally unsettling like the old chuck e cheese animatronics
Original game graphics looks better than remake.
nah
@@pucebiscuit7616nuh uh
But the original creator being a pedo ruins it.
only looks, but thankfully the story on the remake is better
@@lancier7510 The original story is way better, all the remake did was remove -specific- parts of the lore and that's it.
*Half-Life 2 collision sound-effect intensifies.*
I'm glad the original developer has been gone in the fnaf community for good and thanks to the developer who remastered the game, and rewriting Garvey. I remember watching TH-camrs like Taste Gaming playing the original Dormitabis back in 2019 to 2020.
The bonus is great
4 extra animatronics in the remastered version 💀.
You can never escape balloon boy
I'm new to the lore but 5:24 looks like Creation.
I truly prefer the original.
Garvey fight always gets me.
Ye it’s probably one of the best showdowns in a fnaf game
Garveys is basically the same with the remastered but voice acting is better
Scary animatronics
The OG jumpscares sound like that old Iron Maiden game's enemies death sound (Ed Hunter)
Especially Garvey's
4:23 Foxy in the remastered looks odd
In the remastered I don't like how in the jumpscare before it finishes the sound there's glitch. The OG is better
Well, remastered version is nice, but jumpscares looks better in original.
In my opinion nothing can beat the original
You do know what the original was right?
But In lore....
@@supersmashproductions9890 yes and i still like it it’s disturbing vile and unnerving
@@VidaNeon I know the lore
disturbing or not, this lore or the original garvey is absolutely awful, this is genuine disgusting
What about the game over screens ?
Man the remastered jumpscares are dogwater but damn willam afton is a big man in the remastered
Aunque me gustó mucho el remastered me quedo con el original por la historia más oscura y turbia que tiene.
2:16 who the heck is this?
This is Patrick
That's Springlitch
7:47 this is just goofy
Не ну Дормитапка это нечто!
i am so confused with the replies in this comment section instantly disagreeing (Without stating a reason for their disagreement) with comments that prefer one or the other
The og has a unique style and thats why it was so captivating in gameplay and why it was scarier than most fan games. UNFORTUNATELY, the story had issues, but that does not impact the pure gameplay experience
The remaster... just doesnt. It has nothing special or unique going about its lighting or models and textures. (dark clean look) It also removed the golden freddy password encounter which was one of the most unique and biggest parts of the game and my favourite one at that
You may like the remaster more or the og more, either way it is your opinion and your preference. So why shit on others opinions and statements without even bringing up why you feel that way?
for the record i LOVE the og's artstyle and atmosphere because it really makes you feel like you're in purgatory (lore accurate) and it is gross and ugly ON PURPOSE, and i love it
What i obviously dont love is the blackout situation and all the pedo subplot bullshit which is genuinely sickening but other than that i absolutely adore the og
Original soulcage is scary
nah it was terrible and the green hands ruined it
@@pucebiscuit7616The problem with the remastered is that it ruins the essence, the designs become too simple.
i’m not gonna lie, I expected more from a remastered version
I really want to see 300 Toy Bonnie jumpscares!❤
Boo
That was not scary at all!😆
The remaster is good but I miss the rough grimy moldy texture of the original it felt scarier
I hope this remaster can make up for the reputation of this fan game it was one of my favourites
The new version actually looks terrifying in a good way
So does this game work better now? I remember it having lots of issue but it’s been so long I forgot what those issue were.
If irc the main issue was the controversial lore that it had and questionable kinks from the creator
@@keneekonah the game ran like shit and was super buggy
I know a lot of people said the original game was too bright and they prefer thos games lower brightness. I do agree that the original was too bright, but this remaster feels too dark. I had my computer on max brightness and could still barely see sometimes. Especially when Garvey showed up. I hope in the future 2.0 version, they fix that
Even if Dormitabris remake is made by other people and became really good
This game still has an aftertaste of original freak author
The new ones are sluggish and not in frame
Still better than the original
thankfully they made Blood actually look like Blood in the Remake, instead of looking like a red slime
Is it just me or does the og look better in terms of looks and jumpscares?
Yes
Not only you
The jumpscares and animatronic designs are still somewhat bad in the remaster (with the models themselves being great), but props for the creators of the remaster regardless, as they were working with essentially nothing and a really gross backstory.
The animatronic designs need to be the same Ownetrick has already mentioned that
Golden call gives me a feeling that it’s phone guy
This game story line is so disgusting bro, and thats why I like it so much
what
5:06 Jumpscare in the OG was better
DISTRACT HIM was perfectly done
Personal opinion, I think Golden Call’s eyes look kinda goofy in the remaster.
The cakebear Classic Is good with the eyes
I like the look of the old one better
We don’t talk about Dormitabus 😭
why when i click on dormitabis remaster link i go to insanity dormitabis
OG jumscares:
+lots of camera movement
+camera is zoomed correctly
+quick movements
+better jumpscare noise
-movement is stiff
-jumpscare warnings
-designs are bad and wonky
Remastered Jumpscares:
+More movement
+designs are better
+even better camera movement
+animation is smoother
-animation is too slow
-worse noise
-too zoomed in
And to remaster, everything is so frickin dark.
lets be real here, everyone knows the real jumpscare in the original is finding out on one of the tapes that garvey rped a 15 year old
The jumpscare sound should be changed to make it cooler but i rank the bear character and springtrap dude below heck!
It's hard to tell which animatronic killed you but if this remake changed the story or sub plot then it's worth checking out (I never heard the sub plot because I never got all the tape and listened to them because I was focused in beating the game but I couldn't because Garvey was way to annoying and he was killing me on the last night so I basically gave up)
What is that song during bonus it goes hard
I don’t really find either of them scary 😭 I do like the remastered ones story though
Somebody sent taste gaming of this version of this game is now a remake
then and then.
