I knew Lenny Kravitz when I was a kid, we were in a boys choir. His mother Roxy was a wonderful woman. We had a summer training camp we went to every year and lived there all summer.My first time was tough, my folks were drunks and they just dumped me at the curb with my suitcases and left. It was overwhelming for me and I started to cry. A women behind me said "what's wrong baby?" And I looked up to see this beautiful woman. She was breathtaking.She comforted me and took me by the hand and walked me into the dormitory. She stayed with me until I got settled in.That's the kind of woman Roxy was, she had already gotten her own son Lenny settled in and was on her way out when she saw me crying on the sidewalk. She took the time to help a child she didn't even know. Seeing this video made me think of Roxy. Here's to the great mothers. What a blessing.
