- Greg takes on a new project: His own childhood Commodore 64! Starting with no video, we first get to a black screen then full color output. Part one of... uh... we dunno how many. This thing needs a lot of work! :)

I did this exact thing over the winter of 2020/2021! Unfortunately, I'm not as cheap as you. I ended up with 3 C-64s, 3 1541 drives, 2 monitors, a C-128, and a Pi-1541 module. Oh well, I had a ton of fun and learned a lot about the C-64 hardware. I had to replace several chips including the: clock chip, PLA, a couple logic chips, and some memory chips.
That's really great! There's no wrong way to enjoy retro computers. Did you manage to get all that stuff working again?
Did you have to adjust the eccentric nuts on the z axis rollers afterwards? Mine are habitually loose and I cant seem to get them tight. There is always slop in the zaxis/
I think you may have commented on the wrong video. I do have a video related to 3D printers here if that's what you intended: th-cam.com/video/bTNQngcESeY/w-d-xo.html
To answer your question, I haven't had to adjust the eccentric nuts on the JG Maker Artist-D printer yet. They've been fine. If yours are constantly coming loose, maybe add a little locktite to the threads to help keep them from unscrewing over time. Hope that helps.
@@mightystudiosvids the issue I was having was that the dual eccentric nuts were not aligned and have to be turned such that they are both equeal.
Thanks for the reply. 😘🥳🐄
