      Invest in some thermals. I finally did and it's like "wtf have I been doing all these previous winters?" 😂

    • @Kimichitsuzuku

      Get yourself a few wool sweater/jumpers, fingerless gloves and a balaclava for steam cleaning days! All that water will just add to the damp winter chill. And a cheap polar fleece jacket (£10 at Primark!) to leave in the van. Cheap fleece or flannel pajama bottoms, a size too-large can go right over jeans or squashed under waterproof pants to cut the windchill.

    Sid, may I make a suggestion? Being a WFP and pressure washer user for nearly two decades now, in the winter months, I have self built insulated boxes that I cover vulnerable parts with, i.e. the hose real, the water pump and the pressure washer itself. Now I understand that the pressure washer is a large item to cover, and you have space constraints on the van, but if you are storing said item in the garage over night, then this shouldn't be an issue.
    Make a box, (10mm ply would suffice), line it with reflective insulation, (shiny side toward the items that need to be kept frost free), adhere it with spray glue, buy a few decent hot water bottles, put a couple inside the box, maybe even put a hot water tank blanket over the pressure washer with the bottles underneath that over night. If the box seals tightly, then this should prevent your freezing issues. It's worked for me, hope it helps you. All the best.

    Hi Sid, with these roof cleans is it mainly done to keep the house looking tidy and for aesthetics, or is there a reason you don't want buildup on the roof? Only asking as I have several rental properties in Liverpool and have not really considered this before? I really enjoy your videos and your approach to work / values / the community, good to see that attitude in 2022!

    • @PartridgeExteriorCleaning
      @PartridgeExteriorCleaning  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Tom, most people usually get it done due to aesthetics and the annoying splodges of moss dropping off onto the drive and patio every day, also it fills guttering up regularly so can cause damp issues if that isn’t sorted. But finally it eats away at the tiles, grows between the gaps and forces them to shift and crack.
      It usually takes quite a long time for that to happen though but it is inevitable.
      Large buildups like the one in this video do require a clean pretty sharpish to be honest.
      If you need a quote for anything just pop me an email over 👍 thanks for watching mate

    • @almilhouse9059
      @almilhouse9059 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Moss is extremely dangerous and damaging to a roof, it actually eats into the tiles ...
      If you have properties and they are covered then as preventive maintenance it's a great idea to get it cleared off and then bio treated to help kill off all the moss. Also helps it stay clear for longer.

    I do carpet cleaning and the thing I hate most is ice cold nights and 1c days, its a machine killer, especially for brass fittings, I try and drag all the stuff that can freeze out of the van and into to garage before a frost, a one off mild frost you can get away with a couple of days in a row around 0c with out getting the equipment inside and thats a different matter.

    Nice to see it's not just me that has bad days 🙂Great result on the roof, looks better than the new one next door. I do like the blue colour on your van, really stands out. With the Vac, I don't know if you do this already but try 1 motor at a time with 20 to 30 seconds between motors. That said the Steam cleaner is about 1.5Kw? and the Vac 3.3Kw and they could have a 15 Amp circuit so only 3.4Kw or a 30Amp with 6.9Kw but with other stuff on same circuit in their house? I wonder why Vtuff don't make the PW part petrol or diesel powered? Then it wouldn't need electricity! My old steam cleaner was same elec powered pump, diesel powered heater.
