If you don't want to keep switching between Publisher and Designer to insert a table, you can also save the inserted table as an asset. You could even create table assets in Publisher, export them and import them into Designer on a machine that does not have Publisher.

The blending modes "erase" brings the problem that it wont be exported to vector format

I'm not sure about tables for Affinity Designer being added in the future. It might be just a compatibility feature.
Since, maybe, the engineering behind the apps is that they're all based on the same software with all the functionalities but Serif splits them in three separate ones.
Ash has mentioned that the team has been thinking about only one app in the future in an interview, so that made me think about how the apps work on the backend.
