I’ve owned the 696, 821, 1200 Monsters. I recently traded my 1200 in for my first Multistrada, the 1260S. I can honestly say that it was the right decision for me. The Monsters, at my ripe old age of 59, was a true monster for my body. I couldn’t handle the power and wind that comes with a naked like the Monster 1200. It had to go…….
Now that I’ve been enjoying my new found love affair with the bike I tend to also start looking at the next installment a few years down the road. From what I’ve seen in the video my first impressions are that this will be my next, and probably last bike I purchase. It’ll be my fifth Ducati. I can honestly say that after owning a lot of motorcycles in my life, I’ll never buy another brand. Can’t wait for you to get your hands on this bike for the first time and the review.

Had a test ride on 1300 and finally yesterday did a test ride on v4s. IMHO bmw is soooo much behind v4s... That engine is great, 0 vibrations, buttery smooth ride, tons of torque. BMW is good when you want "tank" kind of bike but v4s is just a beautiful beast so fun to ride. I did order updated version of v4s, she'll be ready in 3-4 months :)

Here in Australia there’s the BMW GS guys with their $1400 adventure BMW jackets 😅.. the KTM adventure guys at the other end of the coffee shop stop overs , with their top of the range all white adventure boots 😅, then every now and then you see the multistrada and triumph clans , we mere peasants are snickered at from behind the latte glasses as we pull up on our Hondas and Versys budget bikes 😊
But strange how many used multistradas are lined up at Ducati dealers with minimum kms and not a scratch on them .
Hondas and kawasakis may be cheaper , but we clock up the miles , without tow trucks on standby .
Forget it I am just jealous and scowl at the posers from my mug of flat white, dreaming of a red and blue GS 900😂

Ducati has truly hit peak tech and refinement with this bike.
Downside, having to repair it. I like tech in my bikes but this and the 1300 GS are just to complicated and repair costs are going to be so high that eventually the bikes can become mechanically totaled.

Its a pity they removed the offroad riding mode from the Pikes Peak. I'm seriously looking at the 2025 PP, and as a comsumer I would expect the bike to have all riding models, being top of line, and I could just change rims / tyres if I wanted to do more off-road / trail riding, however they've just taken the option away from the consumer entirely.

The GS lowers front and rear suspension, this does just the rear which I don’t think is as effective (for really short inseams like mine that’s important), plus still no shaft….but I love Ducs and one hopes it’ll sound appropriate. They all do this auto lowering shit wrong. It needs to default to low mode when the bike is off. It should come with the correct lowered kickstand accordingly. It's nice that they lower when slowing I guess, if you're not off road and it kills your ground clearance as you're trying to hop over a tree trunk. That aside, the hard part of tall bikes is getting them off the kickstand, particularly if you have a passenger on board or the ground you're parked on is angled to the right. THIS is when the bike MUST BE in the low mode.
Aside from that, the bike looks pretty good aside from the footpeg placement. All wrong. Look at the angle of the rider's knees. No bueno. It would be wonderful if these mfgs would hire a few motorcyclists who could help them get this shit right. Ducati, please see the footpeg placement on the Moto Guzzi V85TT and fix this to match that and your customers who actually travel will kiss and hug you.
