i would describe your island as kidtowncore! i have a towncore island too (but its a winter lake town). some builds i have that maybe you could incorporate too: train station, gyroid hill, hiking trail, kabuki's outdoor spa, merry's pie and jam shop, camofrog's bait shop/fish market, a bank, an amusement park, a concert center, and a snack shop!
I like how much your island reminds me of the more early era of new horizons content! like just keeping it relatively simple and fun :) my theme is rather similar to yours , one day hopefully I’ll finish it enough to release a dream address

Even in real life, small towns, while the houses are usually spread out and there’s a lot of surrounding land on every property , (usually) always have to have more “city-like” areas where there are grocery stores, other essential stores, etc. Ur island is amazing. I’m so glad I found ur channel to give me inspo when making my own island :) !

I think it depends on what items you can use and can’t use since some items are just for decorations only unless it’s an item that will say do you wanna craft or do you wanna cook.

OMG the flower field thing happened to me too on my first island TOT i had like normcore type for like a year and then changed my mind to fairycore and once irealized that i had let a bunch of flowers sit on my island for a year I WAS SCAREd im pretty sure if iput all of the flowers together i had enough to cover HALF my island-
My island is a woodland/ fairy core/ star core (???) basically a lot of paths, a lot of cedar trees, A LOT of star frags, and each villager has a yard made specifically for them :)
I fixed my flower overgrowning problem on my island by switching ordinances I switched to early bird where everybody has to be up early and greet the morning and shops have to open up early.
The DA is 446987123364 I don't time travel so I am afraid it is in a not so pretty time of the day xD I did a loose hardcore mode so I did not restrict myself so hard but I still tried to follow the rules to a certain extent
