Barry mate! So happy that you're back on the tube again. Just luv your enthusiasm very catching. Me and my old mate are going on our second bikepacking trip tomorrow . Fantastic drone footage, keep up the good work.
@@barrygodin7538 the trip was great. We had good weather for the two days we were out. Our camp spot right next to the sea turned out to be a bad idea. The wind picked up and we didn't get much sleep. We were exploring the islands off the coast of Gothenburg.
@@barrygodin7538 don’t we all check out my base camp trailer setup . Design to go remote for 30 days any season any trail .. to much crap but I am covered for any thing including zombies ordering a crossbow now to add to my gear lol
Cheese, or chorizo, wouldn't be a Barry G pre/post ride kit video without mention of at least one of them. Oh, and yes, really liking the drone footage.
haha, love a good block of cheese :-) Thanks very much about the drone footage, I do not want it to take over, but think the balance is good at the moment
@@barrygodin7538 yeah, think you've got the balance right - drone footage brings a little more context to where you are and the scenery around you. Nice one.
Hi Katie, No amazingly I have never had a issue with bumping in to the stem cells, they do reduce steering a little, but nothing to worry about :-) hope that helps
Hi, I have never tried one, a few mates have had them. The sumo I bought as a cheap spare to my Thermarest neo air - and then feel in love with it. Cheap and works very well
Hey Andy, Well in fact yes there is one thing I did not pack. I took no evening clothes to be light, but the fail was not even and undies, would of been soo lovely to change out of lycra in the evening, and a pair on undies is no weight, I think in my head I was going to be riding into the night, so no evening to relax
That looks an interesting bike for me as someone thinking of a slight upgrade from my entry level Kona. If its the one I'm looking at on the Genesis site-about £1.300 yes?. I'd prefer 29" tyres though to the 27.5. Apart from that looks a solid good value unit. How do you find the frame size? I'm normally a medium but Genesis have me-at 5-10"- in a 'Large.
Hi, Yes Genesis only made one year with 29'' wheels, after that is has been 27.5'', but still a great bike, the steel frame flexes nicely and has stood up to all the abuse I have thrown at it. I personally ride a medium and I am 5ft 8 with a short body and long legs :-)
Hi, I think we were doing the KAW at around the same time, didn’t take my Mini 2 unfortunately, I’m interested in the bags your using for the drone and controller, do you recall what they are? Cheers
Hey Tony! Yes they are lens bags I had bought from amazon, but they were just perfect for the drone and controller - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B076K76R91/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Oh yes I have, have a watch of Welsh Ride Thing and Great Stones Way, Yes it was great, bike is fast and light, also used it for a few canal trips. It is just when things get really rough I can get more crazy with the bigger tyres. But yes I use one a lot
+1 on the Grasmere gingerbread. Barry. I didn’t really like gingerbread until I tried it and then wow !
Haha, you can travel miles for that Gingerbread, soooo worth it
I am blown away by how small the drone packs up and how great the footage is
Haha, yes it is sooo tiny, main reason I bought it
This is awesome. Would love another detailed equipment / packing review.
He wants more :-) It has taken a year to show packing the bike, haha. Yes I will cover this again, so some very very exiting things are coming :-)

Brilliant where is the new bike build video? Can’t find it 😢

Inspired Barry.
Thanks very much
Fantastic ! Thanks for uploading Barry .
The BG tips journey is finally complete 👌
Haha, I promised one day I would show packing the bike, well unpacking it :-)
Nice to see your gear evolving. Very cool
Thanks so much, yes stripping back a little, and slightly smaller tent and sleeping bag, but still seem to pack excessively haha

Nice video. Thanks. Do you find that your knees hit the stem cells or that they get in the way of steering?

You ever try the Alpkit Cloudbase inflatable mat? cant seem to get comfy on it. Your numo much different?
