Technically the empty space in the bucket is part of the bucket because if you fill the empty space with water it becomes a bucket of water instead of a bucket and we can all agree that a bucket of water is different than a bucket because only one of them can get you wet unless you’re a weirdo.
So every water can be a bucket of water at some point of its existence.

I dont think the AI "sees" anything. It's the type that responds to sound and word cues.

Even though her perception is so much more improved, she's holding a bucket while looking at a picture of a bucket. She might not understand that the question relates to the one on the conveyor belt..
