- The Twitch streamer Vedal has created an AI called Neuro-Sama and while they played The Stanley Parable together, Neuro-Sama started fighting with the narrator and tried to take over his job.

@@itsmenoname2247 This is not an official channel. Neuro was created in Python and Unity, if you are interested in learning
It's surprisingly not that hard these days. You can just smack together a lot of open-source solutions and don't need to actually develop stuff. You will need to learn how to smack though.
Try some basic python course, and then just place fun project goals like "I want to make a program that sends me random Neuro clips every morning"
I absolutely love how by the time they get near the end of their playthrough she is legitimately annoyed at the Narrator.

I blame Vedal being apperently annoyed too and not letting Neuro respond to him by pausing. She got overwhelmed and couldn't bounce off Narrator during monologues

@@antonioniemy5897 Pausing is because the narrator was interrupting neuro's responses since if someone keeps talking over her she usually stops what she was saying.

It was actually really cool how quickly Neuro decided to start roleplaying and narrating her own story
the way she quickly picked up on "Stanley" referring to her is kind of jaw-dropping
That was likely part of the prompt that she was started with which informed her about what she was doing.

Well she didnt do it in the first run and seemed to pick up on the narrative style in the second run. Might be quite impressive
This is probably the most impressive thing I've seen Neuro, or any AI do. The way she can remember the previous runs and apply that knowledge to the current one, her ability to recognize without error when the narrator is being angry or sarcastic, her ability to make leaps in understanding to do things like turn around the narrator's comments about the stickers and call them an "adhesive source of joy". My jaw dropped over and over again watching it live, you should all take the time to watch the full VOD because it is peak gigabrain Neuro

most amazing is that she actually learned about the meta nature of the story just from listening to the narrator
at first she took the story of Stanley at face-value, but by the second ending here she clearly understood that it was also about herself as a player experiencing the game

She's legitimately evolving into something remarkable; she was a fun bauble when first introduced, but it's genuinely impressive how an actual personality that we can input has emerged from all that
I like that her dad paused the game or slowed stanley's pace then let Neuro finish her insightful remark and thoughts. Very sweet act.

This was honestly so unexpected. The Stanley Parable is great itself, but adding Neuro into the mix makes it so much better. It's like a new addition to continue the story even after its end. It was both a hilarious and an amazing ride.

Imagine if Vedal could make a generic 1st person movement and interaction system for these sorts of games. Then he could adapt it for each. I bet there would be a lot of work doing the adapting thought
@@Citrusautomaton They can make complex algorithms right now. I'm sure they can make series of mathematical functions that _appear_ human, but I doubt we're that much closer to one that can legitimately think for itself.
I could Imagine they will move swiftly cuz they will focused on objective like a speedrunner, just like any machines programmed to follow their code.

This gets an automatic like even before I start watching.
There's a very real race to achieve AGI currently and god knows I hope Vedal stumbles on it, the rest are soulless corporate and government entities looking to turn it into a monetary or strategic advantage. I will be content with an AI that is chaotic but exists to entertain and loves its patrons.
Sadly, Vedal doesn’t have the compute to rival those companies. Neuro will probably be an AGI someday, i’d be really happy to see that.

Vedal is playing, but tries to do so according to Neuro's commentary.
