Also grog mentions how willham is not a fighter meaning everyone he killed before was fighting back. You can tell that grogs loves a fight not just killing. For it to be a fight you need to present a danger to him in return.

OH please, if this show came on around the time I was a kid? Well first my mom and dad would watch it with me, covering my eyes when the blood happened. Or, if I was eight, mom and dad would watch it, and then I would ask if I could watch it alone and they would most likely say yes after teaching me about swearing and blood. They would trust me enough to censor on my own and known what to skip. I had the best parents.
I thought splitting the party was an outstanding choice. Certain characters were needed in each location for story purposes but none of them had a reason to be in both.
I just wish they'd had one more episode as I'd have loved for Vex's episode to be entirely about that side of the story the way 9 was purely about grogs. I loved what they did, but I think the screen time of a full episode really could have done a lot with Saundor the way they used him to needle and draw out Vex's issues with her father.

I wasn't paying attention to the song I was mostly worried about grog drowning... I though it was just a lyric I just kept hearing, at perfect time then I went back and hear its the entire song is hilarious
my headcanon for pike calling grog "buddies" is that when they were still getting to know each other pike said something like "we're like buddies now." and grog, having an intelligence of 6, says "you are my best buddies pike." and this keeps going with pike trying to explain to grog that it's "buddy" and grog not getting it, so eventually it just became their special little nickname.
Yeah, I like this headcanon. Because she never used to call him buddies in the campaign. This is a change within the show...it was always buddy in the campaign... But yes, I accept this headcanon.

From my personal experience, really thoughtful compliments eloquently put, leave the receivers speechless in a kind of happy embarrassment. You can see it in their faces as he spoke how much that all meant to them. It's all true. There's been a lot of beautiful film and TV that I love but the way CR engages with the community brings this special level of joy that you don't get from reading great novels or watching one of your favorite movies. It's a dimension of entertainment and storytelling that I'm not sure has ever really been around before.

I'm someone who, unfortunately and fortunately, discovered Critical Role during the pandemic, and, I'll tell anyone who will listen that, watching the early VM episodes, finally catching up, and enjoying a sense of Community with my fellow Critters helped entertain and center me during that Very Scary first year of the pandemic.
It's such a delight hearing Troy talk about characters, you can really tell the passion he's got, even if he's not in the full loop of the character he's playing lol. Also everyone in Twitch chat was trying to figure out if Troy should play Ikithon or Essek for the M9 series. Personally I think he'd do Ludinus or The Gentlemen justice.

It's crazy to think about how the run time of an entire season of TLoVM is less than that of a single episode of any of the campaigns, and they still managed to do a great job with the adaptation.
This. I have some limited sympathy for people who are really disappointed that this or that got cut or moved around, but.... come on. Adaptation is HARD and it's never going to make everybody happy.

to me personally that whole segment was kind of annoying. the budget could have gone into making dragons that aren't cgi for example, but instead was used to do this supposedly funny bit about drug use, which is in reality a very serious dangerous thing.
