@@misapheonix which is why CIG hasn’t released newer ships without said functionality. The old ships with gameplay loops that still need to be implemented are obviously being prioritised.
This is awesome!! Now you got me wondering if a hull A will fit in the hanger LoL. I use the hull a as the perfect little "shuttle" from the 890. Great job! The only thing missing that CIG does is turning off 2/3 of the lights 😂
Seems like the small 'lift' port could be a way to transfer refined cargo. I would be happy if the lift would slide out of the way and have an air shield opening to just drop boxes down to a waiting hauler.
This makes me think solo operating with the refinery would be very hard. You'd have mining ships possibly queuing for you to take their bags, while you have cargo ships trying to buy your refined goods - and you have to manage trading/payments for both miners and resellers and make sure traders get the right cargo boxes... this does end up sounding like a tricky job with a lot of admin that can go wrong.
they said in the concept for the Liberator that you will be able to use internal hangars to store cargo which will add a couple hundred SCU of cargo if you sacrifice the hangar space.
Very nice work man really hiped for the Cargo Module and maybe you can do some concepts of your own like a Prison Trasnport Concept who knows ... Keep up the good work :)
a big thing with refining isnt profits its crafting as of now the galaxy refinery went from "its cool but doesnt really change much" to "this is now the go to ship for getting refined materials without the cost and hassle of using a station" the only other option for on ship refining will be the arrastra or orion good ships but we have no idea when they will come out unlike the galaxy which (so long as theres no change) is supposed to be after perseus and thus either a very late 2025 release or early 2026
awsome galaxy video. About the back hangar tho, CIG said that it wont have any type of elevator, so basicly your not going to get any kind of ground vehicle into it.
I know, I was thinking about using the module elevator and then the door connecting hangar and module, that obviously only works for very small ones, or, alternatively, walk to the back hangar door and pick stuff up with the heavy handheld tractor beam!
in the hangar for the refinery my guess is they intend for you to use the new mpuv cargo/ tractor beam edition to transfer cargo with another ship or like a small delivery ship maybe
100% They should reduce SCU (depending on the material) by 10% - 50% after refining, but also increase the price at the same rate. So refining can reduce the volume you need to haul greatly.
I think refining should reduce the volume a LOT. So a prospector load would only result in a few SCU (at most) in refined product. Right now, refined volumes make no sense at all.
Amazing detail! Also can you check if you can park anvil arrow? Also if possible to park arrow and pisces (or mpuv / tractor) together? It would make an all around great armoured pocket carrier. And are the turrets manned, or can they also be pilot controlled and gimballed? Thank you for your efforts!
Hey, sure, I might check that. Regarding the turrets - the Pilot only controlls the missiles, all turrets are crew controlled - all remote, I assume, they are too small to be manned.
@@ace_tristPWN Aw that sucks! I thought maybe we could have something like the super hornet where the turrets can be controlled by a single pilot like the constellation series, but be gimballed when manned by crew. Also the turrets appear to have not much range of motion judging by its appearance. And thank you for checking the hangar too!
the shower looking thing in the corner of the refinery module almost looks like a mining head, maybe to bring small rocks/asteroids into it and mine from inside the ship?
Interesting thought - I have to mention though, that is literally the saddlebag connector from a prospector - I took that, because the reference art was too small to say for sure what it is. Not sure if I mentioned it.
How many MPUV-C can the hangar support to help move refined materials to a larger cargo ship? Better yet, utilize the 16 SCU of cargo capacity of each MPUV to supplement the Galaxy grid?
I had one in the Hangar in the first Galaxy video, and from my memory I'd say two wouldn't fit, but I might give that a try in the last part, thank you for the suggestion!
Awesome job. I was wondering: is there a way to pull the 3D models from the game? I was hoping to 3D print some of the ships, but I highly doubt that it would be that straight forward.
thx. you are rock mann, the bigest and only star citizen modelmaker. I think we cannot buy modules ingame, just like we cannot buy retaliator module (idk what others say we cannot buy it) so i will melt my galaxy and i wish i didnt got it and this complettly took away my favour to buy ships in this game, i wish i didnt bought any after we cannot buy modules its took away my good judgement about this company, but nm
Unlikely - i think it is on hold right now, and the team currently finishing the polaris interior will jump onto the galaxy after that - at least that was the plan communicated at citCon
At the same time? No. Have a look at the medical module video, I crammed in 2 Pisces, but that was already way to tight for it to realistically happen in game!
Modulation and crew size will dominate the PU in gameplay. Large ships and unrealistic crew size will get old quick, ships with multirole options/and a crew size that reflects common sense, the boredom factor and human time restraints will win hands down. CIG have stated that NPC Crew/AI Blades, ''we talked about the possibility to hire NPC's to help you fly your ship, and stuff like that, and that's probably far down the road, its in the roadmap'' wont be saving the day anytime soon, and soloing a large ship on a common sense level is dead as of 3.23+. The galaxy is an interesting ship, an RSI kitbash with 3 current modules, with more to follow and a healthy future ahead of it. PS: I am planning on crewing my ships with only females, i work with many and admire their level headed, patient and work ethic. Plus my 3 teen daughters are great gamers
I cut corners they cannot cut! It's easy to bash something together, but hard to make it cleanly work inside a complex game environment. But thank you!
I absolutely don't get how they want to include refinign for players. They can't do the same 6 hours or 25 hours refining jobs? That's just tedious as hell.
A lot of people comment that, and I want to stress that what I do is MUCH easier than making it game ready - I understand this job, and I don't believe for a second that CIG works "slow". Building it quickly and making it work are two different things. The amount of work is crazy, trust me.
Man i love this channel.
Its like a portal into the future of SC ships
The irony is you have probably more of the ship complete than CiG has.
That’s such a facepalm take lol

but we are left behind than :(
Thank you so much for these Galaxy videos. They make me even more excited for the ship to come out.
Great video. Looking forward to the cargo module.
Those two side areas could be where you filter out materials you dont want into saddle bags.
Thanks for the AAAAWEsom speculation video! Your contribution to the community is great! I wish we received similar videos from the developers.
Amazing work. Loved watching it. It would be cool to see some other big ships that arent complete yet. Something like a Kraken/Orion/Cruicible/etc.
I propably will :)
The effort you put into these videos are amazing! Thank you❤ o7

That's true, but they promoted it as a small multi crew ship, I feel like they will make that more important than it is right now
Fantastic job as always!!
Bro you make me want my ship even more. Hurts to know its not even in production yet :((
But it is. It's next in line after the Retaliator.
Another video!!! YEEES Thank you so much
they said in the concept for the Liberator that you will be able to use internal hangars to store cargo which will add a couple hundred SCU of cargo if you sacrifice the hangar space.
although it is possible that that is a custom feature of the Liberator and will not apply to other ships.
I will try to find that note, thank you for pointing it out!
