Hi there - can you do this using the one usb set up as a memory card? Have both the endgame and soft mod installer on the one drive? I don't have an OG xbox mem card.
You can put the softmod on there first, transfer it to the Xbox hdd, then remove everything and add the ENDGAME exploit to the USB and run it. I don't think you can use both at the same time on one USB.
Any idea if this will let you softmod while using component cables? I attempted the old Splinter Cell method for a friend and hit a black screen after the exploit because we were using component instead of composite cables
I'm not sure, but sometimes the softmod does that and you just have to restart and try again. With this exploit, it's much easier to do so not so much time wasted loading a game. Also I'm using the latest softmod from Rocky5 version 1.2.0
okay i have a softmod on a usb. its called insignia. how do i transfer/copy this file from my usb to the harddrive? whenever i click on the memory with insignia on it, it just takes me to the insignia menu.
how to swap out hard drives? lol isnt it ide? without having to have an old computer. does it require getting a usb external drive enclosure to do some setup on a newer pc?
There's a few tutorials on swapping out hard drives. The original is IDE, but they make a sata to IDE adapter so you can use a sata hdd. There's a few different methods on doing it, but definitely some great tutorials on the whole process.
Did you transfer the softmod files to the HDD first? If so, then remove them from the USB, and only install the exploit files. If anything else is on the USB it will freeze up for me too.

Try disabling 480p first in the xbox dashboard settings.

Not every USB works. The older the better in this case. It also needs to be formatted to FATX, before the XBOX will recognize it.
You need one that is smaller than 4 GB, cause that's the maximum the Xbox can handle.
