I don't know about this SS13 server, but in SS14's Wizard's Den, it is against the rules to remove the disk from the station, for roleplay and anti-metagame reasons. I would imagine the Captain left the disk behind in order to avoid removing it from the station during his trip to Space Brazil.
The fact that the admemes rewarded you for this little barrel of fun is quite heartwarming. No station-breaking. No gimping the entire server. Just one man following his passion to send people to Space Brazil.

Back before the code was updated, items put in a bag was erased if you put the bag in a department vending machine. At this time you could also put a bluespace body bag with a person in said bag. You can probably see where i was going with this.
I never got to test it out before the update tho but i think i was on the verge of discovering Brazil Bluespace Travel...

hey livrah, did you know that in sci maints on kilo station the telecoms spare parts room the monitor that's in the center on the left of it through the wall is a moonlight sword.
Delta Station has it too. It was real null-rod version but got nerfed some time ago.
