Do note! you can place nodes right next to the core, but not nodes next to other nodes. This is just so you all know! (I did not know that at the time of recording)
(also I called it distributed neurons at one point instead of networked fibres.. woops! I mix them up a lot for some reason. It's networked fibres guys!)

its almost sinister how networked fibers weaves its way into the station. and then changes and spreads rapidly, kind of horrifying honestly.

This type seems perfect for being able to spread out long "veins" before switching to another type and expanding rapidly, unable to be controlled

Combine this with some other really powerful blob strats like placing in the ai chamber and killing it immediately or if you're a blob infection, filling a bag with monkey cubes and activating them before you pop and you can easily dominate on the highest population servers. Amazing tutorial!

Fun little fact: APCs are what causes the blob to "spread" across the entire station on Critical Mass. So if you have no ACPs in the way, you can... uh... see. I guess. It's end of round, though. So not sure what you're doing in the first place with that (fore)sight.
