Boy, that was a litteral uphill job. It looked so smooth after it was broomed. You mentioned a little bump you'd feel driving over deck drain, I could not fight back the bad thoughts I had for decades. That fruitloop crew that poured the concrete where I worked for 35 years, poured it too loose I think, and it rolled after they left and it made waves, so many waves that one had to drive the forklift very slowly going up and down that ramp, or the material in the forks would bounce off the forks! I heard you say in other videos that the mix has to be thicker on a hill, so that's where I got the idea that my ramp was poured to loose. That was such a pain, every day for decades! I didn't think this pour was boring at all. Wonderfully and beautifully done, guys. You mentioned your back working the broom, I think of everyone's back and knees on all y'alls pours. I wouldn't want to get into a fistfight w any one of you guys! You gotta be tough as nails to do that every day! Again, I have to say I just love the birders and joints y'all do. It adds such a great look, a long way from plain, yessir. Going to school for grandson's career day, huh? That's just cool as heck. Wow. Do you have any fresh cut lumber drying out yet, Tom? Awesome video today, I enjoyed it. Thanks.👍❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

Why anyone would want faux-looking stamped concrete when a broom finish with picture framed polished joints and edges looks absolutely gorgeous and the Hauz Team masters that so well. Just so beautiful and timeless.😇

Coming together nicely - like it ALWAYS does! As for your question about the joints: In the early 70's the neighborhood we lived in Georgia was still being built. All the driveways and sidewalks had the broom finish with the smooth lines next to the joints like yours. I don't see that very often. Everyone else just brooms the whole thing - which is fine. The first time I saw one of your videos I noticed the joints right away. We rode bikes all over the neighborhood and we used to watch the concrete going in every chance we got. Your channel lets me relive those good memories.

    Well good morning Tom,
That is a BIG driveway. I liked your comment about "Even broomed concrete likes to look good" or something close to it. That's true and you and your guys do just that. As far as your joints go, I watched a couple of other channels do a pour or 2 and wasn't impressed. I've been watching you guys for years now and enjoy it. As far as doing anything different with the way you do your joints, I wouldn't change. Your work is top notch. Why risk changing what works. Just remember that people contact you because of your REPUTATION of quality work. I'm guessing you're on the upper end of cost to the customer only because you DO IT RIGHT!! A reputation takes a LIFETIME to build and it can be destroyed with a couple of crap jobs. Is it that important to do it faster and not be satisfied in the end?? Customer quality comes 1st. That's why you are you--QUALITY 1st.
A personal comment here. Why would you build a million dollar home in a bowl?? And then color it dark?? The next house sets on top of a hill and looked white. Go figure!
I like your longer videos and the content. Good luck at at school with your grandson. Ron
