    Awesome video, love the motor upgrade. I ordered my xfly motors and wanted to know if there is any programing that needs to be done. This project will be my first mod. Thanks for any info

    Nice flight! I may add these to mine. I’ve been upgrading my 70’s to the FMS 1900kv (2500g thrust). But I might try these. I know I’m going to try my SMC 8000mah pack in this plane and see if it can handle it.

      I think the Xfly unit is better. Consider amp draw, weight. FMS 1900 is more powerful, yet heavier and less efficient.

    Hi, this looks and sounds amazing! I’m new to it if this but am trying to get in to EDF. Are you using one 6s for both EDF units? Would there be a benefit to using two batteries if space permitted?

    • @Apexx_RC
      @Apexx_RC 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This jet runs on 1 battery. 5000-7000 mah recommendation. Batteries are stored in the nose so adding an extra battery would most likely make it too nose heavy. But if you’ve never flown EDFs before I wouldn’t recommend this jet

    Still flying the XFLY? How do you like them months later? looks like in the video the SU30 likes to swell packs a little... I find the same packs I use in the fms a10 will be fine then slightly swell in SU30.

    Nice. I upgraded to fms1900kv 12 blade pro setup and looks about same as yours. It’s a shame this bird is heavy and not much of a performer. Plus short flight time with single battery. I think I may try and remove airbrake and make room for a second battery.

      Needs 8s IMO flys great on 8s

    Try swapping out the main springs for softer ones so the tail squats down lower under its own weight and she’ll rotate in a much shorter distance, I proved this on my flight videos on my channel, it works!, I also trimmed off a couple slats or 1/4in off the nose gear wheel pants to reduce drag on the nose

    • @RCPlaneReviewer
      @RCPlaneReviewer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah definitely need to do this so I get a better AOA!! What springs did u use?

    • @DeucesWildRC
      @DeucesWildRC 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the spring from my old F-5 tiger bay nose door, pulled the stock main springs out, cut and stretched the F-5 springs to match the length but slightly longer than the stock ones, they only need enough spring tension so that once it’s air born the gear wheels come all the way out and won’t hang up when i retract them

    Don't look much faster then my stock one tbh if any faster? You should do a GPS run!! Love your videos btw!!
