    I make a diaper cream that can also be used as a sunscreen.! it works for both extremely well! It’s simply an organic sunscreen recipe that has carrot seed oil in it and non-nano zinc oxide with coconut oil Shea butter cocoa butter and bees wax. I love being able to use it for dual purpose as gifts at baby showers! Young mothers absolutely love this stuff!

    Thank you, I truly appreciate your knowledge and enthusiasm about using natural products. I’ve listened to you and am slowing changing my cooking oils to tallow, my creams to using natural and tallow based products.... I ordered a few products and made whipped magnesium lotions for family and friends. I’m so inspired, that quite a few of my Christmas gifts will be based on your recipes on skincare. Thank you, and God bless you and your family

    I use this stuff on my grandson, best diaper cream EVER! Works so quickly! I’m getting ready to make another batch 😊

    I’m not sure if you know this but you should not use metal when using bentonite clay. I learned that years ago when it was suggested by an herbalist and homeopathic doctor. I love this video and plan to make some for our granddaughter. I already make balms etc but thought this could be super helpful

      Do you know what I could do to substitute bentonite clay? So hard to source where I am

    In the recipe for my cream there were some sands that I think can damage the baby's skin, did it happen to anyone else? How do I solve this? I bought the same ingredients from the video.

    Could coconut oil be swapped for olive oil? I have a beautiful homemade calendula infused oil that I would like to add in!

    I’ve made on with bentonite clay, but my clay is a darker grey. Also, my balm has small clay chunks in them. I did mix it really well

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm... Did you try something like a plastic fork for mixing? That might get the chunks to smooth out. Sorry, I haven't had that happen! I'm happy to help further if needed!

    • @queenofspeights
      @queenofspeights 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bumblebee Apothecary I used a handheld blender. I’ll just have to keep playing with it and see. And what about the darker gray; is that ok?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@queenofspeights Okay, I would think a handheld blender would work well. Yes, if it says it is bentonite clay, it should be good, even if the color varies a bit.

    What essential oils do you use? How long does the finished product last?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I use the Silky Soft synergy from Plant Therapy. Since there is no water in this, it is very shelf stable. It should be good for around a year or so.

    Hi
    Can you suggest another vegan substitute to beef tallow? Would coconut oil or Shea butter work?
    Maybe you can give us a video for that please? 😊 thanks

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure! Shea butter would be most similar in consistency to tallow. Thanks for the video idea! 😊

    Does yours have it where you can see the zinc in the final product ? Is that normal ? It’s like it doesn’t fully dissolve

    • @BumblebeeApothecary

      Yes! Shea butter is a good substitute. It doesn't have as many benefits as tallow, but it will work :)

    • @BumblebeeApothecary

    Can i use kaolin klay

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you could! I use that in other things such a face masks, and I believe it would work well here also. It is a milder, more gentle clay than bentonite.

    • @ecomamaadmin3328
      @ecomamaadmin3328 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was one of my questions. How did the kaolin clay work?

  • @magdalenaherrington8839

    Will it not work if you just use tallow and not tallow balm?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It still has great benefits, but tallow on its own is pretty stiff and hard to spread. Tallow balm just means a little bit of a liquid oil, like olive oil, has been added to make it more easily spreadable :)
