As a recent owner of a 220K mile 03 E55 in the UK, I like this project series! Only 2 things I'd recommend. 1. Change the valve block for the air suspension (it leaks and the compressor ends up working overtime and dying). 2. Change the supercharger oil! Other than that, can't wait for her to look her best!
Another job whilst the bumper is off : Replace the old stock Chargecooler pump for the Bosch 010 revision and fit a larger heat exchanger, makes a massive difference on back to back pulls / heat soak/ stops the supercharger cutting out.
hey you try AUTODOC german company over 400000 parts..takes up 7 days for delivery 2 year warranty on all parts..most parts are genuine lemforder..meyle i have been using them for past 6 years..good as gold respect keep up the good work...
I had the milky oil cap. Ended up being the two o ring seals on the crank case allowing water to pass into the blocks. Other issues have been boot/trunk wiring breaking on the hinge & seat pump fail. Also oil pump o ring can fail too, mine had gone solid but not snapped.
great man! step by step it would be perfect! I dont like to use oil from the car brand but that's me. I always use liquimoly in cars and motul in motorcycles.
I strongly recommend that you change the small 12v D.C. motor in the ESL. These are known to fail in these vehicles resulting in a non start. If you wait until the ESL motor fails, then it is a pain to cut the ESL off the steering shaft as well as the need to re-code the EIS.
Hi, if you need any info on re building the brake calipers let me know, Mercedes won’t sell the parts, just whole caliper Got a high mile e55 and just done mine
I'm am going to be rebuilding them. Do you have Instagram or Facebook where i can message you? I definitely wouldn't mind having a chat with you about it

Respect! In the cold, on the ground, in the gravel.
