Hello Penson. I am a white elderly south African male. I did not like al of your language, but I liked your objectivity and soberness. I enjoy Citizen concerned and 360 with Thomas for the simple reason that they value truth and they think constructively. I have been praying for all South Africans across the board for many years and lately that SA will be governed in righteousness. I feel like God is beginning to answer me and fellow intercessors prayers because of the awareness people are getting that there is a right way to govern, THank you so much for your open mind.

We have NEVER needed any governments. The biggest lie we were ever told was that we need to submit to a group of people who believe that we can't do things for ourselves. The day the world wakes up to this lie, the day we all become free again. Study permaculture guys. Study how to be self reliant. Form intentional communities that are anchored in shared values and culture. We already have all the resources and skills to do it. It just takes a few determined individuals. This interview that took place between your crew and Joost is historic. Thank you for sharing your honest opinion and experience

While I was in the military, I heard a story of a black Sergeant Major whose car broke down near Orania. The people who eventually helped him were a husband and wife from Orania who towed his car to their home, let him stay over in their house for the night and the next day his car was repaired and he left.

That's not true you need to know the history Orania was started. It was established in 1991 before the ANC came to power so you are pushing a narrative that is not accurate. As stated in this video they are people that beleive in Christ and love God and wanted to protect there children against the evils of this world and give there families a life style the suits there beleifs and culture. A people with deep respect to others. I am white and English I'm a christain and I speak afrikaans fluently I won't be able to live in orania. Why? I don't have afrikaans calture I'm not a farmer my skill set would probably not suit the town. If you want to imergrate to another country you are vetted and looked at to see what benefits the country on that basis you are accepted or rejected. Why not the same standard for Orania. So this has very little to do with the ANC

Hi Penson - I was a young man in 1992 when we voted in the referendum to do away with apartheid. I firmly believed that becoming one nation (albeit with different cultures and needs) - we would all be free South Africans . And because so many fought for the right to vote and be a full citizen of this beautiful country, I thought the price that was paid by so many would bring forward the will to build - to be - to create. I believed that South Africa would use the principles of an Orania - respect culture and language - people rights. But what we got was a divided country - a country that has become paralyzed because a few "leaders" who have no interest in building or creating. Politics have surpassed everything in the "job" market - and with it the civil service has crumbled into nothing. Work is non existent - and people are worse on financially than they were pre-1994. So what to do :For a start - recognize that we can learn from each other. That we are not enemies as the race baiters would like you to think. Bring this type of positive message - and then act on it. Don't sell you soul for a tshirt and a food packet - not for the DA, ANC,EFF or anybody else. Say NO to negativity - to pre-conceived ideas. Lets really talk. Lets do.

I cannot understand how people have no respect for their environment… it’s disgusting , the disrespect is astounding. People live in their own garbage… do they have no dignity or self pride, then you expect people to respect you, help you, pay taxes for you??? We need a benevolent dictator to discipline South Africans we behave like fucking toddlers it’s shameful.

The whole South Africa use to be clean like that. Look for old photos pre ANC. Black people was not what the ANC and EFF described They were well dressed and proud. They did not run fron police as law abiding citizens. It was only the terrorists and people like the totsis doing what EFF is doing now. They raised their own children not the government. For years we listened to the propaganda you young ones was fed and wondered if truth will ever come out. Do you know that the older black people who tried to speak up against ANC lies was "necklessed" the older people was scared to speak up. There was a lot of violence. One day the whole truth will come out. I am so sorry that you have to grow up in the South Africa you see now. But maybe it is a blessing too. Thanks Penuel. Great objective video. You are the right person to do a video on the Afrikaner history. We suffered greatly under British rule. I grew up learning about the British concentration camps ancestors of mine died in. Between 18000 and 30000 Afrikaners died in concentration camps. Afrikaner economic empowerment only started in approximately 1948; my grandfathers were a bus driver and a miner respectively. There was no money for education. My generation didn't grow up with silver spoons in our mouths.
    Be well, Penuel.🎉

It is so true that you mentioned it is not about race only.
It is about Afrikaans' identity that they guard and preserve ultimately.
As an Eastern European living i SA for several decades,I can firmly say that I have experienced hostility from Afrikaans people, like from no one ethnicities, nationality, or races group. Ever !
Having said so, I haven't experienced much negativity, neither.
It's just a plain, straightforward, nonverbal dislike and clear message that I am not part of their click and that I will never be.
I got the message, and I have accepted without a grudge.
But I still have respect for their work ethic, their constant hard work, their presrsevance and all good they manage to bring to this country ( minus apartheid).
Well done for your unbiased presentation. You have nailed it !!!❤

Clean towns, immaculate roads, functioning municipalities and health services, clean water, continuous cheap electricity, excellent schools, universities and police service, very low crime rate, perfect functioning airline and railways..... The worst thing the ANC did after 94 was amalgamate all of our smaller towns into these mega metros. Smaller municipalities run by people who are passionate about their community that get paid a small stipend instead of "professional politicians" who draw massive salaries and contribute less than f-all provide a far better sense of value to those who bankroll the whole show.

No do not give it to the boere.,look what de Klerk did. He sold .this country down the river. When the United Party ruled, there was no racism whatsoever, no apartheid. There was peace and love between black and white. You want to dominate and push a language that is not yours. It belongs to the .cape colourd people. There you go again trying to say it is yours when it is not. If you want a language at all, then speak high hollands.

Ok - let me rephrase then...
I used to stay in Sunnyside in the early 1990's. It was very safe. How safe is it now compared to thirty years ago?
Or... Schubart Park flats in the mid city of Pretoria. Was great, swimming pool, shops, clinic etc. Basically majority white in the 1990's.
How about now? Oh wait - it is so derelict even the window frames has been ripped out of the building, just the skeleton of the building remains. Or the Police barracks that I used to stay in the mid-city (HG De Witt it was called). Very nice back then.
Oh - now it is also totally derelict. Also even the window frames has been ripped out of the building.
How about the SAPS HQ - Telkom Towers - bought in 2015? Oh... not safe for occupation anymore.
OR how about some farms - like Letsitele Valley Citrus farms (I grew up in Letsitele / Tzaneen area). Or Sapekoe tea plantation. Or Zebedelia citrus farm. All "redistributed" with massive assistance (paid by taxpayers of course).
      Back to you.

You can whine all day long. What is clear is - there is Orania, Kleinfontein and some other similar coop's and initiatives.
And there are the many many many examples of areas taken over, expropriated, given Billions of taxpayers money - and they are destroyed. All in the past thirty years.
It was not Van Riebeeck who destroyed the places I listed. It was not Verwoerd. It was not me.
I know and you know who did it. The absurd attempt to drag in the group areas act is not going to make your case. All it proves is that without trying to blame someone else you have nothing. Niks. fo-kol.

However, being an evangelical Christian I cannot agree with the view thatvother race groups or even white people are being excluded from that community. God created man after his own image, that is a spiritual metaphor, not a physical. Amongst true Christians there are neither cultural nor racial barriers

There’s nothing I want more than to live in peace on my own piece of land and not be bothered by corrupt politicians and criminals. This country is run by criminals, that’s why ordinary law abiding citizens are so scared of even defending themselves when attacked in their own homes. A majority of the population is more interested in “someone else” making things happen.

It seems like Orania is a good model for other groups in South Africa to form similar communities - not too large ~ 3,000 like Orania where everyone knows their neighbors, looks out for each other and doesn't have problems with outsiders coming in to do crime.
As for the "Haves vs the Have nots" - it's all relative and in comparison.
Look at places like Gaza or the worst slums in Liberia - those are really "have nots" - thus there is huge migrations, illegal and legal immigration to more 1st world countries like those in Europe, UK or South Africa back in the day or to wealthier suburbs of South Africa.
This concept of making everyone "Equal" - well that leads to horrors like Cambodian Communism - the Killing fields or the Hutu slaughtering over 500,000 Tutsis in Rwanda who "had more things", were taller than the short Hutus.

My family is from Kuruman, straight up desert. We had a few reunions, I enjoyed being with family, but, would I want to live in the desert (kalahari at that) hell no. These guys bought arguably some of the least appealing real estate in the country. If Orania was in Natal or eastern cape, they would be catching real hate, imagine how the place would look.
    Regardless.
I know I wouldn't be accepted there even though I am Afrikaans. I probably don't meet their "Tannie" manner standards. And I'm definitely not 'enough' of a Christian, and believe me; they can smell it.
Combining what I've said, Orania reminds me of my family reunions just by the sound of it, Afrikaans people living together, and kakking each other out whenever someone does something like not clean their dishes.
Edit:nice touch making Orania orange in the thumbnail, I personally hate orange, I don't get why the dutch were always so obsessed with that horrid colour
