One of the many great things about this channel is that it shows us how much expertise and hard work farming requires. Yes, there have been many tech advances that help the farmer, but its still about long hours and knowing what you're doing. Thank you for that Erin.
I feel so bad that Erin has to struggle with the peg leg, but she doesn't let that stop her. She is out there doing everything she can. She's got a great spirit. We all wish you a quick and full recovery Erin.🙂
Gotta love the high tech testing,... "bite test, ... like the sound." All spoken from the voice of experience! Nothing replaces the time-tested methods.
You’d be surprised at the number of farm people that do the crunch test and they can get pretty close to the moisture reading. Speaking as a country boy. Old one at that. Six Decades
@@paulprigge1209 Exactly! The element of experience and years of working the same crops, the "feel" is just there. Nobody can train, go to school, or otherwise be educated.
Pirates of the Caribbean look out. New cast member in the making 😉😁. You love what you do so keep doing what you do please. You have an ability to explain things well for people who can relate to farm work or not. . Top job. 👍 Stay safe 🏴
Well Ms. 'Peg Leg', it's always a good day when you post a new video! 😊. I appreciate your humility and your good humor with your misfortune! Keep your chin up and be careful! It would be really hard to not love you, you are the real deal! 💖🙏
Hello Erin and family. We’ve watched all your “educational” videos from day one. I hardly ever comment but today we wanted you to know that there’s people praying for you and your family too. I absolutely love your commentary throughout the video. Learning a lot from y’all. You’re one tough lady and agriculturally smart.
Love the channel. You do a great job of educating people about agriculture. And I think I speak for everyone that we love your humility and sense of humor.
Hey " Hop along Holbert" good to see you out and about. Looks like a magnificent day in west central In. Enjoy that great day ,real football weather right around the corner. Best regards Geronimo's Minutemen express.

Another great video, thank you for the play by play, and all the great information you provide. Continuing prayers for you and your recovery as well as prayers for your family. God bless ya'll. Stay safe out there.
Please be careful Erin, don't fall, great video little lady. I'm sitting in the grain cart, waiting on a load of beans. Good to see you back in your beloved jd tractor. Your alleged train wreck keeps you real and make it easy for us to relate to you as a person. It is very endearing and humble. Just keep being who you are ... you make God's heart smile! Blessings!
Erin, you should consider showing some of your work to a few local television stations. Your ability to share modern grain farming is excellent. You would be surprised how many viewer would enjoy your teaching.
I really enjoy your videos. They are real life, the good and not so good. You are doing an excellent job and keep your spirits up. Don't pay attention to anyone that says bad things. You are amazing
Thank You 😊 I have really been wondering 💭 how People can check !! Now I know thank’s for sharing !! The information !! I got to try some Day . Very informative!!!
Hey Erin. You just keep a good girl down. Be careful out in the fields and don’t fall. Thanks for the informative video on beans. Having never been around beans your videos have explained alot. Good to see you up and about. Such a hard worker. Just don’t overdo it. Take care and be safe. Hope y’all are having a good harvest. Backbone of America. Appreciate y’all!!!!!
Everything I know about farming I learned from TH-cam. I really appreciate how your channel and channels like yours give me a greater appreciation for what I put on my family's dinner table. Thank you and God bless
Another Agricultural class taught very well Ms. Holbert. 😃 I felt like I was back in FFA in high school. Two questions, first is this a variety of beans you plant each year and the second is with John Deere on walkout, are you having trouble with parts/support? Thanks for taking the time to make these vlogs during foot recovery and harvest time. Take care and be safe.
I want to thank you for putting a video out so soon understand you hurting but you're still a farmer you still got to work and thank you for your video I hope you're getting better
Hi Erin! I'm glad to see your getting to be more mobile. Appears your harvest is going well too. Take care of that leg and foot....... don't over do it. Have a good day!
Always good information coming from Erin about farming. I always get a good laugh at some of her sayings. I hope you get healed in the very near future.
Thanks, Erin for making the effort to make this video, I have just bought some land in Africa for my African wife and amongst the crops, we want to grow are beans of which I know zero, most informative.
Good lord, girl! You've got some serious motivation, to go hoppin out in the the field with that contraption. All for the sake of keeping your fans entertained. Haha. Don't forget to lock it in 4low. Or 1low, as it were. Great video! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the soy-bean how-to, a good practical test. I didn't realize how quickly the dew burn off can change a field from leave to hurry up and harvest. We never raised soybeans on the farm I grew up on. Corn, wheat, garden produce, and livestock. Have you tried making tofu from your beans? It's pretty easy (video topic for winter).
When checking the bottom pods - "there's not that satisfy snap" when you open the pods. I love that description as it says a lot about you, your life, and your perspective.
That must have been difficult hobbeling about in that crop with the risk of falling over. All you need now is a hook,a parrot and a ship but bless you for your efforts .Wishing you a speedy recovery .

My grandparents were farmers. They would put the soil into their mouth and just by taste they could tell if it needed lime or not.
Thanks again for the great video's
Take care of that leg
Try to be safe healthy and enjoy life to the fullest and enjoy what you love doing
Glad to see you keeping so positive and your infectious smile

Hi Erin! I'm glad to see your getting to be more mobile. Appears your harvest is going well too. Take care of that leg and foot....... don't over do it. Have a good day!
Love your "peg" leg!! Thank you for sharing the low tech way to check if beans are ready for harvest. What is considered an average yield?
Always good information coming from Erin about farming. I always get a good laugh at some of her sayings. I hope you get healed in the very near future.
timing and being in tune with the land, and climate, take care erin
Thanks, Erin for making the effort to make this video, I have just bought some land in Africa for my African wife and amongst the crops, we want to grow are beans of which I know zero, most informative.
It is good to see you out and about and letting it stop for doing what you love doing.
Good job. Had a serious break when I was about 10. Painful surgeries. Have walked with a limp for over 50 years. Never let it limit me. :-)
Good lord, girl! You've got some serious motivation, to go hoppin out in the the field with that contraption. All for the sake of keeping your fans entertained. Haha. Don't forget to lock it in 4low. Or 1low, as it were. Great video! Keep up the good work!
Very good video. Do the beans have a chance to go bad after you harvest them? Thank you
Stunning girl, wow
Wow! I’m surprised. I would have thought it would take days to dry out, not hours. Nice video, thanks.
Love the peg leg. 🤩
You are so awesome and wonderful I hope your foot heals up okay love your videos I really do
Finally! Someone talks about what happens to beans if they split the pod and leave. I've seen a 40bpa crop turn into 15bpa from bad luck and timing.
Yarrr matey! Thar be a pirate in the bean field!
When checking the bottom pods - "there's not that satisfy snap" when you open the pods. I love that description as it says a lot about you, your life, and your perspective.
Looks like the bean stalks were giving yo the bite test in that field!
'Willy wagging our way' . Sounds llike a new T-shirt idea.
That must have been difficult hobbeling about in that crop with the risk of falling over. All you need now is a hook,a parrot and a ship but bless you for your efforts .Wishing you a speedy recovery .
I'm new to your channel. Your a trooper.
Great video Erin. One thing about testing like that you can have a snack to. Take care and have a blessed day and I'll see you on your next video.
